I believe that Iranians have very legitimate grievances with their government.
What makes me nervous is that the CIA has been there before, and I am not sure what they are trying to do. And after not only what they did in the USA in in 2016-2017, but also many other misadventures in the past, I am not sure about what is now going on in Iran. Hoping it ends well.

The Times of Israel Dec 28 2017: At what the TV report described as a “secret” meeting at the White House, the US and Israel formulated and signed a joint agreement on strategy and policy regarding Iran. Specifically, they agreed to set up joint teams to handle various aspects of the Iranian threat. One such joint team, the report said, will deal with Iranian activity in Syria and Tehran’s support for the Hezbollah terror organization.

Central to the Iranian unrest is the fact that Prwsident Obama transferred hundreds of billions of dollars to the Ayatollahs and removed almost all economic embargo's and sanctions .

This gave the Iranian people tremendous hope for a better future, but the money has either been stolen by the ayatollahs or has been been used to fund international terror, North Korean and domestic offensive nuclear weapons and ballistic missile /cruise missile programs or proxy wars with Saudi Arabia and Iraq.

Instead of an economic boom, Iran has seen a continued implosion of it's economy and skyrocketing cost of living.

None of this improves the lives of most members of Iranian society who just want to become part of 21st century civilization.

Would it not be ironic if Obama's famous "Reverse Midas Touch" kicks in once again and disastrous Iran Nuclear Deal is the straw that breaks the camels back and kick starts and Iranian peoples rebellion against the Ayatollahs and Obama's desire to help Iran destroy America and Israel becomes the downfall of both Obama and the Ayatollahs .

Three years ago, Israel came close to assassinating Soleimani near Damascus, al-Jarida quoted unnamed source as saying, but the Americans tipped off the Iranians against the background of intense disagreement between Washington and Jerusalem. That was during the Obama administration, which, according to reports at the time, was so focused on securing the 2015 Iran nuclear accord that it chose to overlook and even obstruct efforts to clamp down on Iranian-backed terror organizations.

This article quotes a Kuwaiti report that the US is now giving Israel the green light to assassinate Soleimani. Who knows. But I believe that Obama's people stopped the first hit.
