Israel has protested to the government of India over the Delhi government's support of the recent motion at the United Nations General Assembly calling for the cancellation of United States President Donald Trump's declaration of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, Maariv reported.

The protest comes two weeks ahead of Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's reciprocal visit to India after the visit of his counterpart Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, this past summer.

Israel's Foreign Ministry refused to comment.

On Twitter, Indian citizens fumed at their government's decision to vote against Israel, Mida reported. "This isn't why we voted for you," the site quoted one person as tweeting. "Don't expect help from Israel after you betrayed them," another Indian tweeted.

Times Now senior journalist Aditya Raj Kaul wrote, "In order to pacify the Arab nations, India voted against two of its closest allies...there's no logic in that."

Meanwhile, the Arab League drafted a proposal to block Israel's bid for a seat on the the UN Security Council, Bahrain's media outlet reported. ...

So India backstabs another ally,
confident India’s people can always trust Pakistan.

India not support the US? No surprise, shut them down, send H1B and L1 visa holders home. Should anyway since they won’t take back deportees. Broken Trump promise.

Interesting. After we distanced ourselves from Pakistan, India embraced its old master in Europe, terrorist friends of that old master and Pakistan’s closest allies by stabbing us in the back and tossing any potential trust between us out the window.

Bye, India!

India has gotten too big for its britches. It figures it has all the tech rep business from U.S. firms too cheap to pay Americans to answer tech questions. I say, leave them to their toxic filthy air, rivers full of dead bodies and cow feces, and air filled with flies and stink. I was also under the impression that Israel and India had a good relationship and were active in common business endeavors. I guess India thinks it can get a better deal from Muzzlimes. OK, let them.

The trail on this one particular misstep by Modi's gov't leads through Kashmir and Pakistan to Tehran.

India just forgot we had an election. They’re still operating under Obama’s rules.

India can explain, correctly, that it was US actions they were condemning, not Israel's. When they meet with US officials, they can explain it was about the US, not Israel. In fact, it's about both.
