Yes they now do Moov ! You can complete the application online. You must use the lowe’s card I believe.
They say, retired, active, or disabled.
Lowes is all veterans, 10% all the time.

Yes, and you can register on their website or in store and get the discount online. Home Depot gives 10% discount as well. I use it regularly.

I got the same feeling.
I feel that way for anyone who enlisted, myself included. Those who were drafted are another story.

Well I’m a Veteran of the “Vietnam Era”.as a veteran from that period I feel we’re not really accepted by any of those organisations.We served during the Cold War when the United States finally decided that it had enough of war so all we had to worry about was the Soviet Union doing something foolish.

and once it is approved, when you shop all you need to do is tell them your a VETERAN and give them your phone #. then the form you applied to will come on screen automatic
They are very nice about it also.. We bought a Christmas tree there on 'black Friday' and then made another purchase and went to a different register, the gentleman asked if hubby was a veteran, and he said, go to returns and fill out a form then come back and I'll see you get your discount..so we did and the lady at returns gave us 10% on tree and filled the forms out for us..said we just needed to give cashier our phone # on all future purchases and good all year..
I’m just going to stick with my DD-2 retired ID card. I don’t need another form of ID and besides, I have no interaction with the VA.
The 2nd had some asshole pretending to hypnotize the entire group to "relieve us of our guilt feelings."
The 3rd had a guest speaker from some commie anti military group. I never went back. I don't know if they still exist here.

I went to a VA healthcare info meeting at a VFW about a year ago and no smoking was allowed inside.
That is true, VFWs did not welcome Vietnam Veterans, a few in some areas may have but most did not. As their numbers dwindled they began to beg them to join in recent years. Younger vets are picky, they are willing to join a well run VFW that has an active membership. Not so willing to join those that have not moved forward and need to be reorganized. I can’t say I blame them, the VFW has made their own bed for the most part.
My oldest daughter had her wedding reception at a VFW, no smoking other than on an outside patio area. I am pretty sure most are non-smoking now. We have only been a handful of times over the years.
The VFW closest to us was trying hard to get my husband to be active a few years ago; finally the guy trying so hard to get him to become involved admitted they needed people to drive older veterans to their doctor visits. That is nice and all but he was not welcomed by them when he came back from Vietnam so it seemed pretty lame that they wanted him so bad so he could drive for the older vets that did not want him. We are not spring chickens ourselves and we both have our own doctor appointments to get to.
Since I posted I recalled that I had been to a VFW just a couple months ago. I was on a very long driving trip and on a State highway miles from anything. I saw a VFW chapter and stopped to use their latrine. They had some kind of raffle going on so the place was packed. I did not smell any nasty smoke so maybe they do restrict it now. Years ago, I wouldn’t have been able to see the urinal though the smoke.
