Being polite I have been thinking THIS POPE is a lunatic.
He is BO in flowing robes and a Mitre.
There is a faction on here (as in most ‘controversial’ cases) that would sit here ‘all day’ and rail on BO yet are silent when it comes to this Pope.
That group is in the same category of people who said ‘It was wrong when Blacks voted for BO just because he was Black, Women voted for HRC just because she was a woman(well??) yet tell me I am daft because I ask:
In the above 2 references, how is that any different than people who voted for JFK just because he was an Irish Catholic?
‘We’ sit here and rail on the Muslims and there Mosques and Schools and I would be willing to say that go back 150 years ago and - more than likely - the same was said about Catholic Schools and Churches
I don’t entirely disagree with todays ‘dissenters (in the above matters) but that doesn’t change history.
Whoa partner...completely unfair
I know lots of Catholics who are sincere in their faith and are believers in Jesus Christ as their savior.
That being said, they cling to church tradition because that’s all they know.
Most have been taught it’s a sin to visit any non Catholic Church and never been exposed to faith in Christ alone.
The pope is a dope.
“Former Vatican staffers have testified that he is vindictive, two-faced, cruel, hypersensitive, dismissive, self-serving, disingenuous, petty, and manipulative.”
Sounds just like the few gay men I have known in my lifetime.
Sounds just like the few gay men I have known in my lifetime.
Sounds like Obama.
So he wants people to follow his warped version of events and ignore the part where Joseph returned to his place of origin.
I know lots of Catholics who are sincere in their faith and are believers in Jesus Christ as their savior.
That single statement is all that matters. You hit is squarely on the head FRiend
Oh and Merry Christmas
But it is an issue of correct language. I agree that the use of inaccurate terms by the left is sophistry. Which is exactly why it is important not to allow the left to get away with co-opting the language by such usage. Mary and Joseph were NOT immigrants. To say that they were is a lie.
BUT, they were strangers in a different land, and thus, according to Christianity, should be treated well while "in" that country. But by no stretch of the imagination did they enter Egypt illegally, or sponge off available charity, or desire to remain permanently.
Most of which I already knew. The ultimate fate of the gifts of the Magi is unknown to history. I think logic dictates that since they were gifts to JESUS, that Mary and Joseph likely did not use them at all. Your point is worthy of consideration, but IMO, unlikely.
And all of which is irrelevant to my point that Joseph and Mary's sojourn in Egypt was neither illegal nor immigration.
They WERE "strangers", and thus fell under the "welcome the stranger" teaching Of Christianity. And again, IMO, the most accurate language describing J & M in Egypt remains "migrant workers".
AND THEY WEREN’T HOMELESS EITHER. Beside, don’t the Muslim men leave the women behind in the War Zone?
Infallibility only applies to matters of faith and morals, and then only when promulgated in a very specific way. AFAIK, no recent pope (by recent I refer to JPII and later), has issued a decree to which "infallibility" is applicable.
The RC Church simply possesses the assurance that the Holy Spirit will not allow the Pope to err in such cases. In some cases in the past, reigning Popes have deceased "suddenly" in situations in which it seems probable that such a decree might be in the offing.
Uh, no. Not even close. I grew up Episcopalian in Catholic south Louisiana. None of what you claim as "having been taught" is true.
I left the RCC. Still it boggles my mind that Catholics would make their pope a man who did not even share their own faith.
This Pope worships politics and globalism, not Christ. It is sad when good Catholics can no longer accept the leadership of their own Pope.
Lot's of Catholic Freepers have made that claim...
Even entering into a protestant church is sacrilegious...
Thanks.
Not my Pope.
Bring Back Benedict.
And why is he kissing baby Jesus on his upper thigh???
Since it is Catholics telling you this, and you are not Catholic, you might want to suspect that you are wrong.
"Even entering into a protestant church is sacrilegious..."
I started as a protestant, and converted to Catholicism, in a culture with strong intermixture of both protestants and Catholics. I have seen it personally, and studied the whats, whys, and wherefores during and after converting.
There are certain activities that Catholics cannot participate in while in a protestant church, and there are some things that protestants visiting a Catholic church are not permitted, but simply entering a church is NOT forbidden. You are wrong.
i’ve never believed in infallibility of anyone- especially the pope...
