It’s easy to get Brown to stop this. Simply make deportation of pardoned felons the HIGHEST priority.

Since the State no longer has any leverage to request keeping those illegals for trial or prison, it’s a slam dunk to arrest and deport.

Right after taxing the fires in SoCal. Somehow he figures those people would benefit from the fires.

Unfortunately, immigration law exempts those pardoned from being deported based on the convictions that led to the pardons. If convicted in federal court, the governor can’t do it, but state court, he can. Judges, state and federal, can issue what are known as judicial recommendations against deportation (JRAD) which has the same effect as a pardon vis a vis deportation.

Jerry The Fairy Brown gets more loony with each and every passing day.

He's trying to do as much damage as possible to California before he's term-limited out after 2018. But the next CA governor may be even worse. The likely candidates are Lt. Gov. Gavin Newsom, an ultra-ultra liberal from San Francisco; and former L.A. mayor Antonio Villairagosa, another ultra-liberal who'll hasten the Mexification of CA.

Deport them anyways. Whether or not those criminals are pardoned, they are in our country illegally. I imagine there is also an equal protection issue here, if illegals get pardons and real Americans do not.

It’s up to Trump now, as he has many, many, options for escalation...such as simply raiding farms and rounding up people.

“he is now pardoning immigrants convicted of felonies in order to save them from being deported.”

Being relieved of the responsibility of a felony, and it can’t be illegal trespass on US soil as that’s federal, will not clear them from deportation. Outside of inviting more felonies to be accomplished in California or elsewhere if someone tries to call precedence in a California action only, who they are kidding?

Deportation is not the responsibility of the state and they refuse to do it. So if they weren’t going to deport anyone, anyway, what are they accomplishing? They are openly inviting illegals still in Mexico to try for it because they will have a sense of false protection and more will be coming over the border than before.

I was raised in a small city in California. We had an area called “The Oval” on the north side of town that had mexican gang related killings and violence every night. If they had felt a comfort of protection, it would have expanded all over town. We’ll see how long it goes before enough of the state turns into gang violence. They already have more than their share. But they invited it in and are still doing the same thing. And deactivate the Nation Guards and let them fight it out on their own turf. And when enough collateral damage happens, maybe they will change the location of their heads. But it will take a while for these morons to get the picture so you might want to vacation elsewhere. Either that or you may have to get a VISA to go there.

I didn’t know that, but does it really matter? Since being in this country illegally, is in and of itself sufficient reason for deportation, I’d just hope that ICE makes these two “priority deportations” simply to underscore to Brown that he’s pissing into the wind with his “pardons.”

They’ll stay in CA because other states won’t give them as much cool stuff.

More deaths, more rapes, more armed robberies, more molestations, more serious near death injuries...

This governor is a criminal himself, for enabling all the death and destruction to follow.

I wonder if such an act might be a violation of Federal law.I hope that DJT gets top prosecutors to look very,*very* closely at Governor Moonbeam.

Moonbeam has no legal athurority to issue Federal pardons.

He's not he is pardoning them for state offences. If they are here illegally it makes no difference they can still be removed.

If they are here legally then it could allow them to stay.

Illegal aliens need not be convicted of further crimes to be deported.
ALL illegal aliens should be removed.
