I do not believe homeopathy or naturopathy should be subject to FDA authority.

I do not believe homeopathy or naturopathy should be subject to FDA authority.

Why? When they market themselves as medicinals, make claims of treating or curing serious diseases and conditions, and may contain dangerous ingredients like belladonna at wildly varying strengths or ingredients not even listed on the label, they put people’s health and lives at risk. That’s exactly what the FDA should be overseeing.

Or think of it this way, when you buy a box of breakfast cereal, that cereal has been, processed, packaged and labeled under much higher standards than homeopathic remedies, which since 1988 have not had to meet any sort of standards.
