Al Gore was a dishonorable excuse for a candidate. I well remember what we went through as citizens since he clung white knuckled to the negative possibility he could be president. I will never forgive him

Al Gore, the man who twice elected vice-president with less than majority votes, was indignant that—he—would lose an election where he did get the majority vote.

Whadda sleazeball he was and is.

Al Gore never conceded. He reluctantly gave up the fight. To this day he still considers himself the president who was cheated out of his victory and not allowed to occupy the oval office.

The whole hanging/pregnant chads recount in Florida was such a farce, typical sore loser Rat tactics.

“Were we any better with the RINO Bushes?”

Whole heartedly, yes.

Al. Gore. Think about that for a moment. The guy who was Bill Clinton sans the whimsy.

We would be dead right now. Talk to an australian about taking the garbage to the curb.

Whole heartedly, yes.

It would be difficult to find anyone who dislikes Gore more than I do.
And I do not believe Gore would have been a better president.
But there are a few other things to consider in this game of "What If?

Back then in the pre-Obama era republicans still had a little backbone and had not been fully broken in by Obama as democrat lapdogs.
In a Gore presidency the republicans would have had an adversarial relationship with the president.
In the Bush presidency republicans rolled over for Bush on just about every issue.

The republicans in the senate and house cooperated with Bush on the same liberal issues they would have fought Gore on.
Like Ted Kennedy's horrid "No Child Left Behind".

The republicans went along with Bush on budget deficits they would have fought Gore on.

Gore probably would not have invaded Iraq and opened up mid-east wars that have run for 14 years,
left Iraq and the mid-east worse than they were, blown $4 Trillion taxpayer dollars, and cost many thousand US KIA and WIA casualties.

AND THE BIG ONE:

If there hadn't been a Bush presidency there probably wouldn't have been an Obama Presidency.

Bush trained the RINOs for Soetoro. After that, it was clear sailing for them.

In retrospect, I wonder if a four year (that’s all he would have served) Gore term would have saved us from eight years of the kenyan.

This sounds like the same talking point of the never-trumpers.

There are things that I think are missing from your scenario:

1. The media will make people believe what they want people to believe. There was no reason for a 2nd Clinton presidency, but it happened. It happened because the media told a large percentage of Americans what to think and do.

2. A president’s decree and actions can’t be simply undone. We would have seen a total collapse of healthcare if Hillarycare had been allowed to stay on track. It was derailed by Bush’s win.

3. We would have no guns right now. Now I hear a lot that we’ll see a civil war before that happens - so you could say that. We would have a civil war. But I disagree with the civil war thing. We, as a society, will allow our government overlords to steamroll us with very little objection. It happened a lot recently.

4. Many of the businesses throughout the US would be totally destroyed, and millions more out of work than we could imagine under even 3 terms of Obama. Gore’s ultimate idea was to rid the country of every bit of manufacturing.... Period.

5. Finally, with the overwhelming response we saw from the Clinton farce presidency ... where he didn’t reduce any deficit whatsoever (It was a fraud) we could see that at least in the first 3 years of his Presidency any resistance to him and his communist ideas would have been swept under.

We are never, ever, EVER better with a enemy foothold situation. And foothold is the exact description of a president with communist plans.
