‘We Can’t Take That Risk’ — FBI Officials Discussed ‘Insurance Policy’ Against Trump Presidency
The Daily Caller ^ | 12/13/2017 | Chuck Ross

Two FBI officials who worked on Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation exchanged text messages last year in which they appear to have discussed ways to prevent Donald Trump from being elected president.

“I want to believe the path you threw out for consideration in Andy’s office — that there’s no way [Trump] gets elected — but I’m afraid we can’t take that risk,” FBI counterintelligence official Peter Strzok wrote in a cryptic text message to Lisa Page, an FBI lawyer and his mistress.

“It’s like an insurance policy in the unlikely event you die before you’re 40,” Strzok wrote in the text, dated Aug. 15, 2016.

Andy is likely Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe.

the “path we laid out in Andy’s office”?
++++
Nope. It was the path “you” (Lisa Page) laid out that is the quotation. This has to refer to the presumed successful Hillary path to victory.

The real issue is the “insurance policy”. Was that policy intended to be invoked Pre-Election or Post-Election? I’m betting Post and we are now witnessing Mueller carry out the plan.

Interesting times.

McCarthy has gone easy on Strzok since his name first surfaced. Perhaps there is a personal connection or some other explanation?

“That statement, “path we laid out in Andy’s office”, is a giant, huge, red flag. It flat says Page, McCabe, and Strzok discussed a plan as an “insurance policy” in case Trump won. They were plotting an overthrow of the government if the results of the election if it didn’t go the way they want. This is the very definition of treason.
No wonder McCabe didn’t want to testify before Congress.”

I agree. That is why he postponed his appearance before the House committee today. With that statement out there now he has to consult with his lawyer as to whether he should plead the fifth. He does not want to testify before Srozek
because Srozek may impeach his testimony. If Srozek goes first then McCabe can tailor his testimony to be responsive to it.I smell a new special prosecutor to investigate the investigators when this is all over

I meant to add to my original response to you that the anger and frustration that may have been evident in my original response was not directed at you but to the unending merry-go-round that is DC.

The real issue is the “insurance policy”.

I am guessing they are talking about the dossier. From what I've read, the FBI had a version of it by Aug.

Congressional investigations are worthless. They never achieve anything and they just provide a platform for partisanship. We need a criminal investigation by DOJ. There may in fact be one going on since these texts were uncovered for some reason.

This is why McCabe did not appear yesterday before Congress.

Just who the f@&% do these people think they are? They work for us! Who we elect for any office is none of their concern in the capacity of their jobs we are generous enough to provide them with.

What they did is treasonous, a felony, and about as unethical as one can get. There are thousands more.

Hard to disagree with that. And the fact this was happening in the first couple of weeks of August would actually leave plenty of time for that Dossier to do suffient damage to Trump to “guarantee” Hillary’s election.

So maybe this was indeed a Pre-Election Plan with a Post-Election backup. I’m starting to think so.

So I wonder who the “we” is that Strzok referred to. I’m betting at least Comey and McCabe.

As long as Sessions, McTurtle and Ryno are in charge, there will never be a thing done about any of this!

Trump is mow actively searching for leverage...that’s how the Donald rolls.

The swamp is so effing dirty that he will unearth a nearly endless mound of leverage.

What I am saying is he will seek out and find evidence of criminal activity against not only democrats but also GOPe types and high-ranking federal officials..i.e. Comey et al

He will use this leverage to force change.

Change or face prosecution.

Trump is awake early this morning gathering sticks to build a fire under Jeff Sessions ass.

They have awakened a giant, and filled him with a terrible resolve.

Sedition is easier to prove and document, like with their own words on the internet or videos of them actually committing acts of sedition on tv, like this by this FBI maggot.

U.S. Code › Title 18 › Part I › Chapter 115 › § 2384 18 U.S. Code § 2384 - Seditious conspiracy US Code

If two or more persons in any State or Territory, or in any place subject to the jurisdiction of the United States, conspire to overthrow, put down, or to destroy by force the Government of the United States, or to levy war against them, or to oppose by force the authority thereof, or by force to prevent, hinder, or delay the execution of any law of the United States, or by force to seize, take, or possess any property of the United States contrary to the authority thereof, they shall each be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than twenty years, or both.

(June 25, 1948, ch. 645, 62 Stat. 808; July 24, 1956, ch. 678, ;1, 70 Stat. 623; Pub. L. 103–322, title XXXIII,;330016(1)(N), Sept. 13, 1994, 108 Stat. 2148.)

If so, this is a far bigger scandal than Watergate and will tarnish the FBI forever.

That tarnishing has already been accomplished.

Remember the FBI keeps those raw files on every politician and business person. Imagine what is in them today with the internet compared to those 800 Hillary had on everyone back in 1993?
