Just waking up to the news and it’s like Groundhog Day, if Moore had won we’d have had 6 weeks more of allegations.
All of the discussion and hounding of Roy Moore will now cease (and the attacks will shift focus to DJT’s accusers).
The GOOD people of Alabama should be ashamed, with such a poor showing at the polls at such a critical time.
And here is Jeff Flake being a vocal supporter of radical Democrat Jones. Unbelievable.
Of course there was rampant fraud in this election. That’s a given these days.
What is with the lovefest for Luther Strange on FR?? People are incredibly uninformed.
You want to know why the disgraced, former Governor Bentley appointed Strange? Strange agreed to not prosecute Bentley in exchange for that seat. Strange=Crook.
Strange was the darling of McConnell and the GOP, which should have been enough to make any decent conservative run screaming away from him.
Strange would have been annihilated tonight. I know that, if he were the nominee, I would have written in Mo Brooks’ name instead of voting for Strange.
I was originally a Brooks supporter and believe that he would have mad a good candidate. When Moore won the nomination, I was disappointed but I supported him.
When the media and GOPE lies and slander about Moore started, my support for Moore grew every day. I was voting Moore specifically to give the middle finger to the GOP, the media and hollywood.
I’m done. No more Republicans for me (except if Trump runs again).

I do not see how normally possible a democrat wins there...it was not the news stories or turnout...something else.

Some truly wonderful things happened in my life while I had cancer. I still fought the cancer with every ounce of my being. I didn’t roll over and declare that cancer had no effect on my life.
And I still voted in every election in my district. I didn’t roll over and declare that my vote didn’t matter, or that the people writing the laws for me to abide by didn’t make a damn bit of difference.
But then, I was raised in a time when it was common to teach children responsibility, common sense, critical thinking and self reliance. We didn’t have to romanticize what that might mean. We lived it.
I pity the younger generations growing up in a world which has had positive character traits sanitized out of the public square. A world in which they can’t see a difference between Burack H. Obama and Donald J. Trump, or understand the importance of their own vote. A world in which people don’t understand the difference between being represented and being led.
But there’s a limit to my pity. At some point, even those who grow up in an environment devoid of virtue, must take responsibility for their own virtue. If they fail to put virtuous people in places of power, they deserve what the crooked politicians do to them. And may God have mercy on their souls.

That’s how I met my wife. Back in the late 1990’s, when it was considered even weirder than today.
It’s worse than that. Even after Moore was proven innocent, he was presumed guilty. There were (and still are) FReepers claiming he was guilty, even though they know he was innocent. And now they’re gloating over his loss, bragging that they were right and conservatives were wrong.

There are lots of women out there who operate entirely on their feelings and cannot be swayed by facts and logic.
I make a point of being a gentleman of the old school with females. And that begins with “what part of ‘watch your mouth and keep your hands to yourself’ don’t you understand?”
But ultimately, I have a hard time dealing with creatures so easily swayed by raw emotion. Just look at feminists — they run together like an unruly mob stoked up on hate.
I never married, and at 59 my chances of doing so are pretty much zero.

Moore was crap from the git go... He probably was the ONLY candidate that the libs could win against. And as usual Trump was right and the religious nuts were wrong.
I think Moore lost his own race with that lousy appearance on Hannity. We were left defending 30 somethings dating teenagers. I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to do that again.
Right you are. The gloating of some of the FR folks over this election is sickening. It was easy to see the allegations were nothing more than a hit job. Especially with the forged yearbook being their best ‘proof’.
The people who ran from supporting him though this hit job is disappointing to say the least. It was clear from the beginning this was nothing more than attempts to take him out. But those d*** self-righteous PC folks that feel they have to say a disclaimer prior to ever speaking is the problem. Not enough grit to stand up and not care what darn labels someone wants to throw at you. That stupid ‘all women need to be believed’, ‘all allegations....blah blah’ along with ‘I apologize for all....’ give me a BREAK!!! I am a woman and am SICK of it. Guess what, PEOPLE LIE, SCHEME, and yes, do things for reasons we don’t understand nor have to understand.
AND — if we insist on someone living a pristine life from birth to death before we support them we will never be able to support anyone. Get over ourselves and grow some backbone. We are never going to appease and win. It is way past time to STOP BEING EVEN A SMIDGEN OF PC.
They changed this culture with their words and actions. It is time we changed it with ours!!!!
And it turns out Trump’s instincts were correct when he came out fro Strange during the Primaries.......Moore never won anything by big numbers in Alabama and the Left knew that as they relentlessly threw everything they had at this coup.
That interview was a disaster.
