It looks like this story is being back-burnered today while Moore and Franken absorb all the available voter attention. Too bad, I’d like to see Jordan deal a knockout but I guess we have to wait for the IG’s report later in the month.
“The way most FReepers talk, theyd prefer Sessions and Wray blab about everything theyre doing so all the Swamp Rats from Hillary on down get a free pass. Thankfully these professionals know what theyre doing and how to properly inform Congress.”
Well the way this FReeper sees it, these two worthless motherf*ckers will “investigate” until such time as President Trump is out of office. Wray is Comey without the elevator shoes, and I cannot print the words I would use to describe Sessions. Best civil comment I could render is Judas Goat. And an old one at that.
No, actually we prefer the public hearings, because the DoJ swamp rats don't answer any more behind closed doors than they do in public, but for the public ones we at least get to see them skewered like we did yesterday.
All this information is already under subpoena, but the DoJ/FBI is stonewalling, just like they did on the Strzok information that finally leaked to the press, after it being subpoenaed for months! The DoJ knows that whatever Congress is asking for just proves DoJ corruption, so they have no interest in turning it over, closed session or not.
So there's no real cooperation going on here, nor will there be. The conservative press is digging up information, and then the Congressional oversight committees are hilting the DoJ over the head with it. A cycle that is just going to keep repeating for a while now it appears.
Check$, balance$, $trzok and enemies domestic - holdovers of the most corrupt, evil administration ever.
Thus it is easy to understand how law, instead of checking injustice, becomes the invincible weapon of injustice. It is easy to understand why the law is used by the legislator to destroy in varying degrees among the rest of the people, their personal independence by slavery, their liberty by oppression, and their property by plunder. This is done for the benefit of the person who makes the law, and in proportion to the power that he holds. - Bastiat
HOORAY Jim Jordan
CONgre$$?
No leaks from them, right bigbob?
Wray is on our side. Of course he has to be evasive, lest the entire op is exposed. Friendly fire right now is counter productive.
their are opinions out there that the IG is not corrupt.
I assume then that his report will be damning, or at least it should be. Hard to believe that he is not under pressure or threat.
You're right but Wray evaded a lot of questions from others.
REPRESENTATIVE JIM JORDAN (R-OHIO):
"Here's what I think, Director Wray. I think Peter Strzok, Head of Counterintelligence at the FBI, Peter Strozk, the guy who ran the Clinton investigation, did all the interviews, Peter Strzok, the guy the guy who was running the Russian investigation at the FBI, Peter Strzok, Mr. Super Agent at the FBI,I think he's the guy who took the application to the FISA court.
And if that happened, I mean, I think...I think if this happened, if you had the FBI working with a campaign, the Democrat's campaign, taking opposition research, dressing it all up and turning it into an intelligence document and taking it to the FISA court so they can spy on the other campaign...if that happened, that is as wrong as it gets.
And you know what?
Maybe I'm wrong. You could clear it all up. You could clear it all up for all of us here, all the Congress who wants to know...and frankly, all of America who wants to know...you could clear it all up by releasing...we sent you an letter two days ago, just release the application, tell us what was in it. Tell us if I'm wrong.
But I don't think I am. I think that's exactly what happened, and if it did, that is just as wrong as it can be, and people who did that need to be held accountable."
My impression as well. I got, at a gut impression, that he was blocking.
Now, it is possible he is acting that way out of parochial defense of the FBI, he doesn’t like it being criticized. But it has gone so far beyond criticism he needs to understand he could be a hero for being someone who could get it back on track.
That is, if he isn’t actively blocking for other reasons.
bttt
Wray knew this as he was sitting there in front of this House committee.
There is an active criminal investigation going on, and the people Jordan named are targets.
It looks like this is gonna be let cool off until after the AL election; I’m jonesin’ for Jordan to terrify some more RATS today.
I understand your sentiment, bigbob, but what we are seeing here, if true, is one of the biggest transgressions and scandals in American history.
I don’t think I am being melodramatic, either.
What I saw from Director Wray disturbed me. It looked like more of what we have seen from our government.
I have met Joe several times when I lived in Arizona. Great guy.
And he would make a great FBI director. He was a FBI agent earlier in his career.
I don’t know. Isn’t Jordan another guy who folds when the chips are down? This looks a lot like political grandstanding to me.
