The Middle East ‘Peace Process’ Meme: WHAT Peace Process?
The American Spectator ^ | 12/07/17 | Dov Fischer

Posted on 12/07/2017 8:47:17 AM PST by pgkdan

Now that he formally has announced that the United States of America fully recognizes Jerusalem as the undisputed capital of the country of Israel, President Donald Trump once again has proven that he is the first American President since Ronald Reagan who actually fulfills campaign promises he made to the American people who elected him. He promised to nominate to the United States Supreme Court a brilliant conservative judicial intellect in the tradition of the late Justice Antonin Scalia — and he named Neil Gorsuch to the High Court. He promised to continue naming impeccable conservative judges to the federal courts...He promised to approve the Keystone XL pipeline. To tighten the southern border and to begin the process of building a wall to choke off the opioids supply while addressing a broken and corrupted immigration policy.

He promised to roll back taxes to make American businesses competitive with those around the world, while ramping up the economy and laying the foundation for the creation of more jobs. He promised to address the regulatory stranglehold that has choked American energy... He walked away from the European climate conference and the Trans-Pacific boondoggle. He has confronted NAFTA and ended the nonsense of other multi-lateral global trade plans that always leave America subject to being cheated with little recourse. He is attempting to cut federal funds from Secessionist (“Sanctuary”) cities and “Resistance” states that defy the government of the United States. He has taken demonstrable steps to improve medical care for veterans.

***SNIP***

And now he has fulfilled his promise to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of the country of Israel.

Outstanding article that exposes the lies and the hypocrisy that surrounds the so called 'peace process'. Here's a great point from the article...before Israel 'occupied' any so called Arab territory the PLO was already established clamoring for Palestine. Palestine? where?

Before June 1967, an Arab Muslim polity (Egypt) held Gaza, an Arab Muslim polity (Syria) held the Golan Heights, and an Arab Muslim polity (Jordan) held Judea and Samaria (misnomered the “West Bank”). Yet in 1964, three years before June 1967, the Arab world created the “Palestine Liberation Organization” (PLO). Which “Palestine” did that “organization” set about to “liberate” in 1964? Not Gaza, Golan, and Judea and Samaria (the “West Bank”). Jordanian Olympic athletes were not attacked for “occupying the West Bank.” Nor were Egyptian school children for “occupying Gaza.” Nor Syrian civilians for “occupying the Golan.” Rather, all PLO terror attacks, from the PLO’s 1964 founding through June 1967, aimed within pre-June 1967 Israel. That is what the PLO was organized to liberate: the “Palestine” that is Israel. Not Gaza, Golan, nor Judea and Samaria.

(By the way, how fascinating is the term “West Bank”! The Arab world could not assert with a straight face that “Judea and Samaria” belong to the PLO. So they gave it a different name. Only… they had no other name for it because Judea and Samaria never were part of their universe. Read the Torah. Read the Christian Gospels. Read the Encyclopedia Britannica before the 1960s. So, since Judea and Samaria lands are west of the Jordan River, they denominated it the “West Bank.” Anyone who has been there, to cities up and down Judea and Samaria, knows that the region is no river “bank,” not remotely close to the Jordan River. The term is a joke — akin to labeling Jersey City, Bayonne, Secaucus, and Hoboken the “West Bank” because of its immensely closer proximity to the Hudson River or calling the states of Arkansas or Iowa the “West Bank” because of proximity to the Mississippi.

The “Middle East Peace Process” is nothing but a cottage industry where useless, inbred establishment types get to virtue-signal and to play-act as humanitarians while they raid the public treasury and real people die.

Excellent article. I actually have a much better understanding of the so-called peace process after reading it.

All these fake terms and useless negotiating only perpetuate the generational hatred that just keeps both sides killing each other.

It is not a peace process it is an annexation and subjugation process by the Israeli’s.

But then, the Israeli’s have the weapons and the political friends.

Does might make right? That is what is at play here.

I ask every Israeli: If Israel continues to occupy and settle Palestinian lands outside Israel’s border - why not just annex that land, as Israel did in E Jerusalem, and..... then make those Palestinian occupants, full (and voting) Israeli citizens?

Call it Israel.

“Palestinians” should look to Jordan if they really want their actual Homeland back.

The “peace process” should read “the process by which American taxpayer money is stolen from them by idiot politicians and given gratis to violent, loser moozlums”

....” it is an annexation and subjugation process by the Israeli’s.”......

Well God says clearly it’s HIS land so it’s really about who HE has stated HE has given it to. History is very clear about this land being given by God to Israel......just because the Arabs etc. didn’t like that and have spent years trying to take control......and just because they want it doesn’t entitle the Arabs to it.

Israel has time again given Arabs their land for peace.....it’s never gotten peace because the muslim nations don’t want Israel there period..... won’t work later either trying to divide the land....no matter who tries to do so.

God states.....”On that day the Lord made a covenant with Abram, saying, ....“To your offspring ‘I give this land’, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the river Euphrates,.....A land that the Lord your God cares for. The eyes of the Lord your God are always upon it, from the beginning of the year to the end of the year. ....For behold, days are coming, declares the Lord, when ‘I will restore’ the fortunes of my people, Israel and Judah, says the Lord, and ‘I will bring them back to the land’ that ‘I gave to their fathers’, and they shall take possession of it.” .....”And ‘I will set your border’ from the Red Sea to the Sea of the Philistines, and from the wilderness to the Euphrates, for ‘I will give the inhabitants of the land into your hand’, and you shall drive them out before you.

...What is there for Jordan to do? Pick a fight with Israel...

Jordan annexed the West Bank in the early 1950’s and gave Jordanian citizenship to Palestinians there, and for all who wanted to come there... That is, till they reneged on their citizenship. They yanked their citizenship from them.
Apparently there is more to the history of the Mideastand the Palestinians than you are aware of.

Wiki the 1967 war. Several Arab nations mobilized, declared war on Israel. They lost lands to Israel. End of story.

Read my post.

No where did I complain about Israel’s occupation of foreign territory.

Nor did I complain about God giving certain lands to the Hebrew tribes.

I merely stated that Israel should annex their conquered territories and make all of their occupants Israeli citizens.

I think God might approve, knowing that ALL his children won’t grow up wanting to kill each other, muslims, jews, christians, hindus, amish, whomever.

At this time, given the might of the Israeli Army, history, past occupants, are irrelevant.

Talking about the past only continues the hatred and killing.

Again, I ask all Israeli supporters (like me):

If Israel continues to occupy and settle Palestinian lands outside Israel’s border - why not just annex that land, as Israel did in E Jerusalem, and..... then make those Palestinian occupants, full (and voting) Israeli citizens?

Many of the occupants are seditious.
You don’t make them citizens, you exile them.
Israel can automate. They no longer need potentially genocidal Muslims to make their economy function.
