LOL! Yep, probably when you least expect it. It works out that way a lot of the time.

Good to hear you won out on a graveside service for her. Gives everyone a chance to say their goodbyes.
I hope the weather doesn’t get nasty and make driving up there a mess to deal with.

Snow here? I haven’t heard a thing about it, not even during the Nashville news and weather this evening. I pulled up the radar when I read that and it looks like there’s a chance we could get more than they’re predicting this weekend. Looks like it could hit tomorrow. There’s already a little showing up in west TN. Glad I got all the groceries we need for a bit and have no need to get out for a while.

It’s cloudy and cold here and wind is picking up a little. It wasn’t fun going into town to see Clara and run by Wal Mart real quick. Didn’t get to visit Clara as she was out for the count when I got there. But they said she’d been up earlier today and had participated in their little exercise activities and that’s good.

So you didn’t get much snow today? The radar this afternoon looked like you were getting a decent hit. Guess you’re among the group who are celebrating. :-)

I’m celebrating NOT getting much. It was worse north of us, around Andrews. They always get more rain or snow than we do and they’re only 35 miles away. I think it will warm up for the weekend...which is great if we’re going to have to travel north.

I’m glad you got your shopping/visiting done just in case it does get icky. Are the kitties restless or are they all cuddly because it’s cold? Peaches wants to be close in cold weather and last night I was a kitteh sammich.

LOL! That’s what I meant .... celebrating NOT getting much. Glad it worked out that way for y’all.

I hope it does warm up over that way for the weekend if you’re going to be on the road. It wouldn’t be fun travelling through snow.

No warm-up for us this weekend. It’s going to get colder. They predict a smattering of snow for north of us Sat. but what I see on the radar tonight doesn’t jive with it. We’ll see what happens.

The cats are restless and only a few are cuddly, but they’re the few who are always cuddly. Holli would sit on my lap 24/7 if she was allowed.

It’s 30 here right now and “feels like” 21! Day before yesterday it was nearly 80. Crazy, huh!

I think I need to see if Ginger will come back in. She wanted out earlier, but I hate for her to be out all night. It’s bad enough that Ghost is, but he’s used to it and she isn’t.

I do hope the weather is good for the drive. I am a basket case in bad weather. LOL!

Yikes! It must be mighty windy to have a wind chill like that.

It’s 32 here but there’s just a slight breeze so our wind chill isn’t much lower. It’ll be windy this weekend and our wind chills will be in the 20s during the day and teens at night they say. I reeeeeally don’t like winter. LOL

I’m with you on being a basket case when travelling in bad weather. Not so much concerned about my driving .... it’s the others on the road who make me a nervous wreck.

I didn’t think it was windy, but it is damp and that probably affects it some, too. Plus the sky is clear, so there is no blanket of clouds to keep the warm air down here.

I do way better driving myself than when hubby drives. He makes me nervous. Besides which, he tends to doze at the wheel so I can never relax, because I have to watch him to see that his eyes are open. LOL!

We had hoped to have her service on Monday, but not sure now. I guess I’ll just plan on packing fast and taking off when we need to. I have to see if my local cat lady [who pawned these two brats off on me LOL!] will be around to feed them and let them either in or out.

Yes, humidity does affect it but the wind really affects it. That’s why they call it wind chill. LOL
It’s cloudy here but apparently the air is dry. Two different radar sites show it should be snowing a little but it’s not reaching the ground at this point.

Not good that he tends to get sleepy when driving. I can see why you’d be wound up!

I just get nervous because there are so many on the roads these days with their cell phones, gabbing away. Just driving the 20 miles to the vet with a cat is nerve-wracking.

Go ahead and pack your clothes tomorrow, then it’s done. When it’s time to leave, you just toss toiletries in a tote, load everything in the car and go. You’ll have plenty of other last-minute things to deal with as it is. I hope your friend will be available to take care of the kittehs so you don’t have to go nuts trying to find someone else.

Oh, yeah. Wind factor. DUH! :) Just looked and it’s only 12 mph. That’s just a little breeze.

Good idea about packing ahead of time. I will do that tomorrow...and get hubby to do the same!

Well, hope it doesn’t snow there too much. I KNOW how you hate the cold weather!

Guess I’d better go. It’s been a long day. I might see if the kitties want back in. I really hate to leave them out when the WCF is now 19.

See ya tomorrow night for tuneage! I hope!

Just a little breeze but enough to make it feel miserable outside. Did you manager to get Ginger inside yet?
We still just have a little bit of a breeze but it’ll pick up before morning.

Still no snow falling so the radar must just be picking up the bottoms of some low clouds. If any snow is falling, it isn’t reaching the ground.
With or without snow, it’s going to be cold. I’m sooooo ready for Spring. LOL!

Packing ahead in situations like yours is never a bad idea. It sounds like it’s going to be a rush to go once you get the word. Anything that can be done ahead of time will make it a lot easier for y’all. Tomorrow might be the one day you’ll have time to do things at a leisurely pace. Good idea to take advantage of it. :-)

I’m surprised you managed to stay awake this late after the day you’ve had. I hope the kittehs both show up at the door so you can sleep peacefully. No fun worrying about them in that kind of weather.

Sleep well!

Rest in Peace, Dulcie.
And prayers of peace, Luv, for you and your husband
and family and friends.

Abide With Me

Abide with me; fast falls the eventide;
The darkness deepens; Lord with me abide.
When other helpers fail and comforts flee,
Help of the helpless, O abide with me.

Swift to its close ebbs out life's little day;
Earth's joys grow dim; its glories pass away;
Change and decay in all around I see;
O Thou who changest not, abide with me.

Not a brief glance I beg, a passing word,
But as Thou dwell'st with Thy disciples, Lord,
Familiar, condescending, patient, free.
Come not to sojourn, but abide with me.

Come not in terrors, as the King of kings,
But kind and good, with healing in Thy wings;
Tears for all woes, a heart for every plea.
Come, Friend of sinners, thus abide with me.

Thou on my head in early youth didst smile,
And though rebellious and perverse meanwhile,
Thou hast not left me, oft as I left Thee.
On to the close, O Lord, abide with me.

I need Thy presence every passing hour.
What but Thy grace can foil the tempter's power?
Who, like Thyself, my guide and stay can be?
Through cloud and sunshine, Lord, abide with me.

I fear no foe, with Thee at hand to bless;
Ills have no weight, and tears no bitterness.
Where is death's sting? Where, grave, thy victory?
I triumph still, if Thou abide with me.

Hold Thou Thy cross before my closing eyes;
Shine through the gloom and point me to the skies.
Heaven's morning breaks, and earth's vain shadows flee;
In life, in death, O Lord, abide with me.
