Washington (CNN) — A Pennsylvania lawmaker is under fire after insinuating that a fellow state representative was gay for touching his arm during a committee meeting.
The incident, captured on a video feed, took place during a state government committee meeting in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives Tuesday night. Republican state Rep. Daryl Metcalfe was chairing a meeting about land use legislation when state Rep. Matthew Bradford, a Democrat who was speaking at the time, touched his arm.

How embarrassing ... while the “touching” might have been condescending and intrusive, attempting to get the speaker’s attention while he was still speaking, our esteeemed GOP rep’s remarks were idiotic. Who in his right mind would think this had anything to do with being gay? Sigh. Shooting himself in both feet.

If this were a onesy-twosy thing then sure. But the scuttlebutt is that this has gone on a LOT.
I can’t blame him since I don’t like men who insist on such touching of other men when the “other man” is me. Props to him for telling him to keep his hands to himself. Memo to ‘RATS: No means no, even when it is between men. And it’s OK to say “keep your hands to yourself”.

LOL — The deputy’s “look” is the same as mine would be. Definitely a different look than when a woman did such touching.
So, when my captain touches my arm to get my attention and point out something I can sue for or claim sexual harassment?
My boss walked by me in a crowded meeting and touched me on the shoulder as she said hello.
I am now psychologically damaged due to the harassment.
Of course, it is balanced out by my kicking a co-worker in the buttocks after I told him how insane the “Kars for Kids” jingle makes me and he deliberately starting singing it, causing me to involuntarily kick him in the buttocks...
Ah well...take in on one hand, shell out on the other...:)
Has he repeatedly done so and have you asked him to keep his hands to himself? Touching is a cultural thing. Some cultures have grown men walking down the street holding hands; I’m not part of that culture but perhaps you are.
Just Remember the Three Rules to avoid Sexual Harassment:
1.) Be Handsome.
2.) Be Attractive.
3.) Don't be Unattractive.

If the guy was making a pass at our esteemed rep, he certainly wouldn’t be doing it in front of the cameras. This is stupid and it makes the GOP look stupid.

Thank you! Actually the flight deck is quiet just like the cabin; should I be glancing out the side window and the captain just wanted to get my attention he could just say over the intercom”JANEY LOOK OVER THERE!!!” but that’d upset the quietness of my reverie just gazing.
