"Of course they will have the votes."

I don't agree with that. It takes a two thirds majority to convict on an impeachment.

Hopefully it will not get to that.

So, clown-boy, how does it feel?

To be on your own/ With no direction home/ Like a complete unknown / Just Like a rolling stone

It’s even more gratifying that it’s his own taking him out - if he does resign.

Whoever thought that the left would be the new prudes for the 21st century - well, unless there’s a male who wants to go into girls bathrooms and spy on them. That’s just fine... or some other guy who enjoys putting a square peg in the wrong hole... well, that’s just fine too... etc.

As usual, they’re amazingly hypocritical and child-like in their world views of... well, everything.

I agree. Smarmy and crude, no doubt about it. Unwanted affections and a wandering hand. It just doesn’t rise to the same level as real rape or attack: it kinda cheapens it.

And after 10+years its kinda over. All the outrage is straining for credulity.

So I’d say sorry, I am staying right where I am....
.
And I despise Franken with a passion but this is simply a witch hunt that needs to end.

Franken announcement Thursday, calls to resign

So glad to see that ass-clown Franken [belatedly] getting what he deserves, but if these women were really sincere, they would call out the IMPEACHED RAPIST - Billy Blythe Clinton!

It is ironic that the ‘rat strategy of changing the rules came back to bite Franken. Electing (via fraud) a former SNL comedian/Hollywood type to the Senate was supposed to be “cool”. Now the type of guy that Franken represents is no longer in fashion and he has to go. It’s like when the architects of the French Reign of Terror had to lay their necks on the guillotine. I love watching the left eat their own.

It is way too late for the Democrats to successfully spring off Franken’s resignation to an attack on Roy Moore. It will not make a dent in Moore’s HUGE lead (his 50/43 is likely already 57/43 or maybe even 60/40). Alabama doesn’t care what the phonies who knew all about Franken for years have to say. The Democrats initial defense of “Oh we all knew” will now be used as a rope to hang them. In Four days they will be trying to convince people who deeply mistrust them that they should elect a man they rightly see as supporting murder because THEY say he should be elected instead of a man who has faced attack after attack and come out statistically stronger.

NONE of this will hang over into Moore’s tenure in the senate NONE. The law is clear “MITT” McConnell cannot do a thing but smile. Because of the tax cut bill,Trump is now in charge of the Republican Party and as time goes on his grip will get stronger and stronger. Relax.

Lol. It’s going to be great when Moore is in and Franken is out.

Time to grab those dems by their pussies and toss their ass out.

a shift of less than 3000 votes would've made it the first unanimous electoral college vote since George Washington.

Not quite - Mondale would have still carried the three EVs from Washington D.C. It would have been the first fifty-state sweep.

The Dems want Franken to resign because he is helping Moore get elected. Plus once Moore gets elected it will be really difficult to argue that he should be thrown out while Franken stays.

It sucks for the Democrats that they cannot use weaponized sexual harassment allegations to knock out Republicans because most of the sexual harassment allegations being made are against Democrats.

Why must Trump step down.

There is a difference between an accusation and an an event. The Congressmen have pay out deals on record. They can’t wiggle out.

After him the target will be Roy Moore, senate will do everything they can to not let him keep the seat. Then Trump must step down. Horrible.

This Is the correct analysis. Dems have decided it is worth sacrificing Franken if it puts them in a better position to go after Trump (and Moore). So if Franken actually resigns, it is a major warning sign of attacks on Trump in 2018.

In addition to Reagan’s 49 state sweep in 1984, Nixon carried every state except Massachusetts (and DC of course) in 1972. The reason that the lamestream media hated Nixon and Reagan as much as they did was that no one that they knew had voted for either of them so they could never figure out how either of them won.

The only Democrat to ever even come close to a 50 state sweep (48 states at the time) was Roosevelt in 1936, and he lost 2 out of the 48 states.

Senators cannot be impeached. They can be removed from the Senate by a 2/3 vote of members.

I concur and I wonder if Trump’s rather late endorsement
of Moore did either one of them any favors.

Why isn’t Gray Beaver, aka Lieawatha, part of the group of women senators calling for Perv Al’s resignation?
