This just needs a one-line bill to fix.

ALL REFUNDABLE CREDITS ARE NO LONGER REFUNDABLE.

Sorry, but you are wrong on this. No change is needed to the US Constitution is needed to FIX THIS. These payments TO ILLEGAL ALIENS can be stopped legislatively. Simply put, if a person is an illegal alien (evidenced by not having a LEGITIMATE social security number) they will be entitled to NO TAX “CREDITS”.

Your heart may bleed for the spawn of illegal aliens, but my heart bleeds for AMERICAN citizens and their children. I have no sympathy for invaders.

illegal immigrants with taxpayer identification numbers

SAY WHAT?????

Wait a second... how does an ILLEGAL get an taxpayer identification number? And if they have said number - why are they still here in this country? They have to have an address...

A few hundred thousand less is hardly noticeable.

A few hundred thousand can add up to a bunch of billions of dollars.

A few hundred thousand people can add up to a bunch of millions after a few years. Those "bunch of millions" could add up to 10s of billions.

So, even those few hundred thousand do count as "s lot" of people.

There are a lot of US Citizens who pay zero income tax who receive checks as “refunds”, based in part on the child tax credit.

Personally, I have never understood how someone can get a “refund” of money they never paid in the first place. It’s a scam of epic proportions. Vote buying at its “finest”.

You have some seriously valid points. Why do so many American (and international) tourists flock to Mexico? Because of a whole lot of beautiful country (especially coasts), and with a growing ecological tourism as well as archeological interests - there is a lot to draw people to Mexico.

Mexico does, indeed, have great natural resources - much of which goes completely untapped.

Because of our own skyrocketing medical costs here in the US, medical “tourism” is rapidly growing...

There are no logical, natural reasons for Mexico to remain a third world country that exports its criminals as well as many of its citizens who actually have a work ethic... except that the country is incredibly, painfully corrupt. Yet exporting your hard workers isn’t going to fix that.

The solution is for the Mexican people to finally say ENOUGH! WE want our own nation to prosper and move into the 21st Century.

Alas - they apparently don’t have that kind of backbone or drive.

Actually, I’ve seen higher estimates. The system should not contain this but it was set up 150 years ago to handle the slaves that were brought in. Loophole.

“Simply put, if a person is an illegal alien (evidenced by not having a LEGITIMATE social security number) they will be entitled to NO TAX “CREDITS”.

You are not covering the law. Tax reimbursement.
The source of a tax reimbursement fringe benefit is determined based on the location of the jurisdiction that imposed the tax for which you are reimbursed.
And according to the American Immigration Service, undocumented parents of U.S. citizens may be allowed to apply for cancellation of removal, if they meet certain requirements. People held by immigration authorities for living here illegally can apply for cancellation of removal if the immigration authorities seek to deport them. In this case, they can apply for legal status without returning to their home countries, with the help of their children’s citizenship. The form used for this is a Form EOIR-42B that was revised in July 2015. And that means green card and legal immigration status.

“Your heart may bleed for the spawn of illegal aliens, but my heart bleeds for AMERICAN citizens and their children. I have no sympathy for invaders.”

You obviously didn’t read what I posted in that I do not agree with this practice. But there are ways to get it done and they are within the Department of Justice (DOJ) and United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) guide lines and are openly published.

Again, I didn’t say it was right or wrong, it just exists. But part of the problem is that many people think like you. You stated “my heart bleeds for AMERICAN citizens and their children. I have no sympathy for invaders.” Well, according to the law, if a child is born on a US reservation which includes everything from US land to military reservations to embassies, and it is a live birth, then whether you want it or not, you have a citizen. I don’t write them and I don’t interpret them. They were put there by other people.

As for my heart and it’s habit of bleeding, I spent 32 years working in, for, and around the military the last 12. I’ve been blown up once and shot twice. I was forced medically to a retirement after the 32 in three catagories. I’m 200% (a second 100% determination) disabled, thus home bound as recognized by the Department of Defense along with all branches of the military that I worked for while active until retirement and later from the pentagon, for NAF and Appropriate civilian employment, along with SS and the VA. I’d say that qualifies me to bleed for the US. I did. And still am.

You are conflating (known in the vernacular as “blowing smoke”) all kinds of immigration issues with the simple issue of refundable tax credits for illegal aliens. The Congress, as part of this current tax legislation, should simply make it a requirement that to receive this credit, the tax filer can’t be here illegally and the tax filer must have their own verified social security number. Sorry you don’t comprehend that.

Frankly, I don’t care. People were talking about the topic and I entered what I found. As for comprehension, I understand what is being said. The unfortunate part of our laws is that not all issues are cut and dry after years of use and have loopholes or ways to work around them. And the laws that were ratified in the 1800’s have had a long time for liberal based lawyers to find those ways.

I gave the board the two organizations in charge making sure the laws are run properly, I displayed a way currently being used to accomplish the task, I even gave the board the number of the federal form to be used to do it. You got a complaint, call your congressman. But don’t question my voracity for showing you how from what I could find. If I’m wrong, show me how. Telling me I’m wrong because someone could do something brings up a question. This problem has been going on for many years. If it’s so easy to fix, and can be done without question or challenge, then why hasn’t it? And why haven’t the laws in place headed it off in the beginning before it reached a financial monster? I know personally that this has been going on since the early sixties at least with the use of migrant farm workers in central California where I was raised on a ranch. The birthing of illegal children to make them citizens is probably 75 if not more years old in that local. I can’t answer for the San Diego area or Texas, but in a piece I read one hospital in Dallas is birthing 70 babies a day and better than 2/3 of them on the average are anchor.

There are always loopholes. And if there aren’t, thee is always dishonesty by our government. Find it and I will stand right next to you in the argument.

As for conflating, there is no one anything when you work for government. Everything you do or discover is in pieces and has to be interpreted. So to say something could be easy is based upon one simple action is very limited for the whole. Too many possibilities. Like I said before, if it’s so simple, why hasn’t it been done?

not according to Michael Medved, GOPe shill and mouthpiece for Team Bush.

"The worst part is that many all who get these checks aren’t even paying in."

The average American simply has no idea of the ways that our govt funnels money to illegal aliens. And yes they do know that they are doing it.

The amounts would leave you speechless.
