White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said Tuesday she was "not aware" of any plans by President Donald Trump to pardon former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn — saying any such discussion would be premature at this point.

"I'm not aware that has come up or any process or decision on that front," she told reporters at the daily briefing. "No, I haven't asked the president whether or not he would do that.

"Before we start discussing pardons for individuals, we should see what happens in specific cases," she added.

When pressed further, Sanders responded: "I haven't the conversation with him because I don't feel it's necessary until you get further down the road and determine whether or not that's even something that's needed."

the question is:
Sarah. does the President anticipate helping to fund General Flynn’s legal fees to remove his guilty plea in view of recent discoveries regarding the FBI agent who conducted the interview that lead to charges against him?

According to a commenter on the Instapundit bog (author Glenn Reynolds is a Yale Law educated law professor), Mueller's *not* telling Flynn prior to the plea deal is grounds both for overturning the conviction and for disbarring Mueller for Constitutional Rights violations...

So if true, no pardon even necessary.

Flynn is only charged, not convicted.

I believe no court will convict him, not for mis-remembering a detail.

Comey had already heard his remarks and before Congress Comey defended Flynn on mis-remembering, by citing chaos of the time, during the early days of the transition when the phone calls with global counter parts took place.

Only Peter Cotton Tail made mis-remembering a federal crime.
What got Flynn charged was simply Peter’s agenda going in.

Not so fast folks - that plea contains Flynn’s immunity deal and obligation to lay out the record! And, as it stands, it appears his plea is null and void given the revelations that the questioner was fired for his bias! Then, later, when the dust has settled, Trump can always pardon Flynn down the road.

If what another lawyer said about the possibility of having the case dropped because the prime “witness” was fired for being biased (if Flynn and his lawyers weren’t aware of it before coming to the table) there might not be anything to pardon....

Trump can’t pardon Flynn until he breaks the back of the Mueller-Comey-Strzok-Weissman conspiracy, because he will be impeached and removed from office if he does.

And, by the way, on the 4D chess side, why do you suppose he’s moving the US Embassy to Jerusalem right now?
