FRANKFURT, Germany — The special counsel Robert Mueller has asked Deutsche Bank to share data on accounts held by President Donald Trump and his family, a person close to the matter said on Tuesday.
Germany's largest bank received a subpoena from Mueller several weeks ago to provide information on certain money and credit transactions, the person added, confirming a report by the German daily Handelsblatt published on Tuesday.
Deutsche Bank, which has loaned the Trump Organization millions of dollars for real-estate ventures, said it would not comment on any of its clients.
Deutsche Bank rejected demands in June by House Democrats to provide details of Trump's finances, citing privacy laws.

But this is another NOTHINGBURGER. From the Guardian (not exactly a Trump-friendly source) back in February 2017:
“Deutsche Bank, which is under investigation by the US Department of Justice and is facing intense regulatory scrutiny, was looking for evidence of whether recent loans to Trump, which were struck in highly unusual circumstances, may have been underpinned by financial guarantees from Moscow.
The Guardian has also learned that the president’s immediate family are Deutsche clients. The bank examined accounts held by Ivanka Trump, the president’s daughter, her husband, Jared Kushner, who serves as a White House adviser, and Kushner’s mother.
The internal review found no evidence [!] of any Russia link, but Deutsche Bank is coming under pressure to appoint an external and independent auditor to review its business relationship with President Trump.”
The subpoenas have been issued because DB doesn't release information on its clients unless subject to a subpoena. Case closed.
What’s Mueller going to do, put them on home detention? They can do nothing and he has no recourse. They already told Congress to eff off.
Cannot something be done to stop this mess? I do not understand why this Mueller such hunt is allowed to continue, especially looking into private businesses. Just shows what they can do to the rest if us.
If you accept there was collusion, which I don’t, then you must believe there was quid pro quo. The quid would have been getting Trump into office. Do they think he got that and also a big payoff in a foreign bank? That would be two quids. And what was the quo? Not buying it.
Sort of gives the lie to the meme out there that Mueller is somehow “secretly” on Trump’s side, and that the subpoenas the SP office have prepared are really for Democrats who have broken the law. This is a rogue underground government which the American people resoundingly repudiated last November, trying desperately and illegally to overturn a valid election result. Civil wars have been started for less.
Where’s the detailed investigation into “all” Mueller’s dirt??
