Ross won’t cover Trump? Ross is too dishonest to work for the local pennysaver.

No mention of the market going down 350 points. Will there be class action suits? Hope so.

And if there is I hope that cackling c*nt Joy Behar gets named as a defendant for gleefully reporting and repeating unproven falsehoods on her "news show"!

Very good analysis and I agree completely. Ross’s mind was already set and he heard what he wanted to hear. He should be fired for not vetting the news story with his superiors
before airing.

They want to be the next Woodward and Bernstein.

Yes, this is the culture of the Leftist media.

Journalists spend a lot of time trying to find minor mistakes in the President, but ignore huge issues such as inner city violence, the loss of American jobs and so much more.

Nothing wrong with rewarding good investigative journalism, but the things being investigated are petty or false -- because they have a political agenda, not an American agenda.

“He should be fired for not vetting the news story with his superiors
before airing.”

I believe not vetting the story was intentional. If he had, his superiors would have moved to protect the “reputation” of their news organization. (I quoted reputation because their belief is they have a good one. Few outside ABC would agree.)

Ross was so certain of Trump’s guilt, he couldn’t chance that some other reporter would be first with the story. He made the calculated risk to go ahead on his own. At stake was being the one to take down Trump. That honor couldn’t be allowed to fall to The National Enquirer. Because Trump was so evil, and the smoking guns, although well hidden, where so numerous, surely some lowly employee of another agency, or, perhaps a rival at ABC, would beat Ross to the punch.

There’s a phrase used by investigators; falling in love with your theory. Ross, and practically every other reporter, have fallen in love with their theories.

“but ignore huge issues such as inner city violence, the loss of American jobs and so much more. “

I believe these issues are ignored for a reason. The fatherless ferals are the result of rewarding black women for having children out of wedlock. The jobs are lost due to globalization, labor policies, insurance issues, and corporate taxes on employees. All of these issues are caused by liberal policies. What kind of liberal would all the others think you were if you suddenly started reporting there were problems with liberal policies. Better to stick to attacking Republican presidents. That’s safe territory for a liberal.

If we follow the logic of ABC’s president then why hasn’t Brian Ross been fired? What are they waiting for? An internal investigation? They already have that I should think.

Here is what he probably really said:

"What on EARTH are you people doing? Don't you know that a careless incident like this destroys ALL the work we have been trying to do to take down Trump and those around him?"

We have a President who fights back and they don’t know what to do.

That’s OK, Brian, if ABC unloads you, CNN will be there to pick you up and hire you to run their fake news department.

Oh please.

It took seven hours to correct a lie?

That was a deliberate move to allow the lie to seep into the mass of democrat voters who never, never, never get past a headline.

‘Stakes as high as stakes are now’
What exactly does that mean???
##########

It means they are already in Trump’s crosshairs for being identified as FAKE NEWS.

Heh...

Although Brian Ross had nothing to do with the exploding GM pick-ups, that story in 1992 was when I realized the MSM was promulgating fake news.

They haven't stopped.

For all of this guy’s bluster, you’d think he’d have fired Ross on the spot instead of giving him time off.

A suspension is a punishment for this?
He should be fired and also the mgr he reports to.
One of the reasons for firing a person who caused severe harm is to make it clear to other employees that similar actions will not be tolerated, so behave.

That wasn't Brian Ross at Dateline NBC with the GM trucks.

Over the years, I have read numerous articles claiming that the rigged gas tank was the reason why Brian Ross was fired from NBC. The link you gave me doesn't name any names, so how do you know it wasn't Brian Ross?

Over the years I have read several articles asserting that the rigged gas tank was the reason why Brian Ross was fired from NBC. If you have contrary information I would like to see it.

It absolutely does, which is why I gave it to you.

I'll make it easy for you (this time) and post the relevant portion:

In addition to the resignation of the news division's president Gartner, three Dateline NBC producers were dismissed as a result of the incident and the findings of the resulting investigation: executive producer Jeff Diamond, senior producer David Rummel, and Robert Read, producer of the report on the pickups. Michele Gillen, the correspondent involved in the segment, was transferred to NBC's Miami owned-and-operated station WTVJ, where she became an anchor of the station's evening newscasts.

Must have skimmed over that. Didn't notice it when I was looking through the article. Still, I have read elsewhere over the years that he was involved in this incident, and he was working for Dateline at the time.

This accusation against him is consistent with what I have learned to expect from Brian Ross. I have found links demonstrated that he rigged a Toyota truck to accelerate, and I recall other sensationalist stories from him that reinforce this behavior as a pattern.

I'll keep an eye out for the information I have previously seen, but in the meantime I will recategorize this claim as unsubstantiated.
