Why wouldn’t they be able to vote? They are all natural-born American citizens.

It could be that it would be best if Puerto Rico were to seek independence.

I’m not comfortable with that socialized hell hole sinking the nation due to a misguided outlook on life.

Look, California is a great example of why I state this.

I hope not. Impeaching and removing someone solely because you disagree with them is a really bad standard to set.

Yes. Florida has been trending blue for some years. But I was just reading that there are a lot of Venezuela immigrants who have the opposite view. I don’t think it’s clear that Puerto Ricans will turn Florida blue.

They’re American citizens. Of course they can vote. They SHOULDN’T, but they have every right to if they reside in one of the states.

What the hell...

The media / Democrats start chanting “impeachment! impeachment! impeachment!” in their delusional wet dreams of getting Trump out of office and the media picks it up and starts going “impeachment! impeachment! impeachment!”

It’s all delusional.

Baloney.

300,000 people didn’t suddenly move and the effects weren’t noticed by transportation, Puerto Rico and Florida....

Dream losers.

Once and if, dems retake the house, you can bet they will impeach Trump. They can make up the charges, they just can’t expect the senate to convict.

Yes, it is something to worry about. I’m seeing a lot of Puerto Ricans in my area of Florida (Jacksonville area) for the first time ever. My usual retail and fast food stops adding more espanol every time I visit. They are not all from PR but the trend is clear.

sadly this is true .
that island was a mess before but the power was okay.
that hurricane destroyed the frail power structure
and the Dems and unions have intentionally sabotaged the recovery to drive people to move to fl .
it’s a Clinton operation .
That san juan mayor is a clintonista.

What really bugs me is just how ineffective most conservatives are at winning immigrant votes - or even trying much - when it is conservative economic policies that will benefit immigrants the most - and not incidentally most immigrants tend to have rather conservative social values too. These should be winnable votes - lots of them, imho

Puerto Rico, Smuerto Rico. It doesn’t matter. If the Democrats take the House in 2018, Trump will be impeached. The Democrat base will demand it, and the House will deliver.

But the Senate will fail to convict (2/3 majority is needed there). Trump will remain president, and the country will be even more fractured than before.

In a word, yes. Most Puerto Ricans are left-liberal Democrats. The Puerto Ricans whom I know best are conservative and they despair of the larger PR community changing it political and cultural attitudes. In combination with generational changes and growing numbers of other non-Cuban Hispanics, it is hard to see Florida as a GOP stronghold for much longer.

I said it before and I'll say it again.

The island should have been stripped of its territory and citizenship status right after the FALN terrorist events on the 70s.

Don't understand why people want to leave sun-kissed tropical paradises in favor of crowds, traffic, and brutal winters.

This Tax plan crafted by those dirty bastard Goldman Sachs Banksters Mnuchin and Cohn should be called the "Lose the Majority in 2018 and Impeach Trump" plan.

There will be no second Trump term, Florida is GONE after he signs this, the only real question is whether he will be impeached before he is voted out in 2020.

Trump only won Florida by about 110,000 votes

A house is worth what people are willing to pay for it, if they can’t afford a mortgage because they cant deduct SALT, PMI, and ALL mortgage interest, the price of peoples homes and whatever equity they THOUGHT they had is going to CRASH and BURN.

Family's of 4 with houses that itemize are looking at increases in their taxable income anywhere in the $25-$90,000 range, that's about a $7-$25,000 tax increase or up to $2,000 extra a month to these CORRUPT LAZY PERVERTED THIEVES IN WASHINGTON DC.

One this is crystal clear.

THE GOP HAS NO DESIRE TO BE THE MAJORITY PARTY, THEY WANT TO PASS A CORPORATE TAX RATE REDUCTION, THEN IMPEACH TRUMP WHEN THEY LOSE THE HOUSE AND THE SENATE NEXT YEAR.

I will NEVER vote GOP again and actively work to destroy these degenerate MF's if Trump is STUPID enough to sign this monstrosity.

He's about to STAB HIS BASE IN THE BACK.

This is going to DESTROY the housing market and the value of people homes and play hell with population growth via the loss of personal exemptions, so it has the added effect of further reducing the number of children AMERICAN CITIZENS produce, making us a minority in our own country.

Couple this with the 15% FICA and the OUTRAGEOUS increase in medical deductibles and copays, which the GOP has done NOTHING to fix, and this slaughters the very base of Trump supporters in States like Florida.

If Trump would have ran on letting a bunch of Goldman Sachs schmucks strip away all itemized deductions from the middle class but leave them in place for corporations, he would have NEVER WON.

There is an ulterior motive here, and that is to remove the ability of the W-2 Wage Slaves to mitigate their tax exposure through deductions that have been in place for DECADES.

Good luck with the small tax decrease non itemizers will see, because it will soon be jacked up by a rate increase, which they will keep raising in order to fund Social security and their ever expanding spending.

This is the biggest bait and switch swindle in history, these guys Mnuchin and Cohn make Gruber look like an amateur.

As soon as I’m done paying for my last kid to finish college I am bugging out, the GOP will never have a majority again and this is the beginning of the end.

Trump needs to fix PR fast! And offer free everything to get these people back on the plane to PR, before Soros people start registering them to vote in Fla.

So that could flip Puerto Rico!!
