"LOL, no they couldn’t. Not unless Florida suddenly gets 30 senators."

As mentioned previously, I was not at all suggesting impeachment was a possibility - this was simply the title of the Rush Limbaugh link.

But what is concerning if you read the link, is this:

"Now, the publisher of the Puerto Rican newspaper says that all of these people are very disappointed in the response of the Trump administration to help Puerto Rico recover. She believes by the end of 2018 there will be nearly 400,000 to 500,000 immigrants — think illegal immigrants — in Florida, and, if 60% of them register Democrat, then Florida ever voting for a Republican presidential candidate may be lost for as long as we can see."

So if Trump loses FL in 2020 it may be rather hard to win the election.

In the 1970s/1980s the black population of DC was around 70%. Currently it is now down to about 50%. However, so far as Congress is concerned since the vote is over 90% Democrat, fairness will not enter into Congressional decisions re DC. DC has 3 electoral votes, recent local Republican activity has been to promote DC’s becoming a territory, thus paying no taxes. This would make the 1% very happy as well as big developers and the politicians they pay off (who are almost all Democrats).

Once again, thanks for the information.

I have known about this type of thing in the D. of C., but haven’t bothered to study it.

Good refresher for sure...

One more time, read the book that the framers used during the Federal Convention. It defined who a natural born Citizen is. They all were very familiar with that legal treatises, the colonists prior to the revolution were familiar with it, the early congress required it in their presence, law schools of the day included it in their curriculum, many framers had copies in their own home libraries including John Jay who wrote to the convention with the suggestion to change the requirement from simply "citizen" to that of a "natural born Citizen."

Original intent, and original sources.

Okay. One more time ...

The U.S. Constitution uses but does not define the phrase “natural born Citizen”, and various opinions have been offered over time regarding its precise meaning. The consensus of early 21st-century constitutional scholars, together with relevant case law, is that natural-born citizens include, subject to exceptions, those born in the United States. Many scholars have also concluded that those who meet the legal requirements for U.S. citizenship “at the moment of birth”, regardless of place of birth, are also natural-born citizens.

I find no ‘exception’ such that the nationality of the parents is a factor.

Well said.

The idea that foreign law can determine who is a natural born citizen of the United States is certainly bizarre, to say the least.

There’s a movement going now to restore voting to those who have lost the franchise. The claim at the petition site is 1.6 million. That’ll turn it blue instantly.

Next, they’ll be telling us where we can put our embassies. LOL

I didn’t sign the petition, but live in Florida and believe in the concept of having all rights restored once the debt to society has been paid.

Was Barack Obama born the same natural kind as his maternal grandparents?

Natural born is a Kind. James Madison penned in Federaliat 14. "The same kindred blood flows in the veins of American citizens.". Naturalization is a Kind. Congress unnaturalized the country after WBTS. Congress only citizenship and immigration authority was keeping USA the same natural kind. image

All US Presidents were natural born except Barack H. Obama.
