The Trump Energy Plan: A Sea Change in U.S. Energy Policy
DB Daily Update ^ | 12/3/17 | David Blackmon

Despite that slight, Trump made the promotion of policies that support a healthy oil and gas industry a centerpiece of his campaign strategy from beginning to end. During his speeches, the primary and general election debates, and the hundreds of rallies he conducted before crowds of thousands of supporters, candidate Trump talked about issues all too familiar to those in and around the nation’s oil patches: the Keystone XL and Dakota Access pipelines, EPA’s Waters of the United States regulatory scheme, the Clean Power Plan and the Bureau of Land Management’s (BLM) hydraulic fracturing rule.

At a September 2016 rally in Pittsburgh, Trump made a speech that was very typical to what he said throughout his campaign: “I am going to lift the restrictions on American energy and allow this wealth to pour into our communities — including right here in Pennsylvania. The shale energy revolution will unleash massive wealth for American workers and families.”

On December 7th, 1941, the US was the #1 oil exporter in the world. Will history repeat?

Time for optional Pearl Harbor allusion).

I went to Shale-magazine and read the entire article. The Trump administration moves so fast, the author touched on all that has been done to promote fossil energy here in America and undo everything the last guy. did

A fascinating read, and that doesn't do the article justice.

The part about coal plants being replaced by "combined-cycle" plants is very good news. With thermal efficiencies in the high 50's to low 60's percent range, they are the pinnacle at the moment, in terms of what is available for utilities. They imho are a good backbone for an electric car breakthrough battery until Thorium Reactors become a reality.

Exciting times indeed....

Yeah, the entire Shale article is well worth the time to read.

There is a hell of a lot going on behind the scenes to unshackle industry that isn’t getting out. But the deep state (’old guard’, as the author puts it)has been digging in, as expected. Looks like they’re being worn down.

I got a laugh out of the authors takes on Trump’s shortcomings...to me they’re all pluses.

In less than a full year after assuming office, the Trump administration has reversed a major portion of the Obama energy and environmental policy legacy, and the mainstream news media that normally amplifies the messaging of anti-fossil fuel groups has barely had time to notice.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++=

Excellent article pointing out the progress Trump has made keeping his promises regarding energy.

Trust me, they’re all pluses to the author, too. :)

Thanks to Trump's Tweets. He has kept the media chasing cheese in a maze while real work is getting done.

You’ve been providing some dynamite reading. Keep it up.

I think these are more momentous times than perhaps even Reagan’s and am glad to be around to witness and take part.

"I got a laugh out of the authors takes on Trump’s shortcomings...to me they’re all pluses."

Screen poster LS has done editorials about how it is the "Mouse and the Cheese", others noted he is using WWF tricks. I mentioned that last one to a 20 something Detroiter asking me about PDJT and the light bulbs went on when I noted Wrestling. He got it. It is almost comical, The press pontificates daily on some inane thing, and we are now the Energy King and they Freakin missed it. If you or I ran the news room, they'd all be fired...

Why is gas stuck at $2.25/gallon? Collusion? Yep.

In the article, the author said he didn’t know if this was deliberate or not - after seeing it work time & time again, I think it’s deliberate. It’s not “chaos”, it’s “cheese” for the RATS.

Much more momentus. Reagan, for example, tried to rein in the federal bureaucracies at places like EPA and DOI, but wasn’t able to make much of an impact. Trump has already reduced those dens of thieves by ~10%, and will easily double that over the next 12 months. He is going to implement a radical reorganization at DOI in Q1 next year that will make liberals’ heads spin.

Excellent article!

Moved me to write the author:

David,

As a 71 year old man in his sunset years, I have read thousands of articles on various subjects.

I must say, your article “The Trump Energy Plan” is one of the most encouraging pieces that I have ever read. It gives me great hope for our nation that I have not experienced for several decades.

Thanks.
