WASHINGTON DC, United States (Kurdistan 24) – In an interview with Kurdistan 24, Rep. Dana Rohrabacher (R, California) explained why he felt strongly that the US must support the Kurds.
“I am totally dismayed that there’s been any talk whatsoever about reducing our arms support for the Kurdish people, who are fighting against evil forces in the Middle East,” he said.
Rohrabacher described the Kurds as “a stalwart in the fight against the evil of radical Islamic terrorism, or, let’s say, radical terrorists who are using Islam.”
“The Kurds need to be recognized for this,” he affirmed, as he cautioned against reports that the White House would be reducing its military support.
“It would be ingratitude at the highest level if we do that,” Rohrabacher stated.

I agreee. And the same should be true toward our brave loyal Kurdish friends (allies) in Syria.
The enemy of my enemy is my friend. Remember the Armenian Christians (men, women, girls, boys) who were crucified by the thousands in those early (and soon forgotten) days at the opening of WWI? The Kurdish troops advanced into the Balkens and took their Ottoman orders to heart conducting mass genocide upon innocents.
I nominate you two to go over there yourselves, and don’t forget to bring your own money and weapons...thanks.

UNFORTUNATELY I think Mattis et al from the deep state inside the Trump administration are preparing to abandon the Kurds now that THEY have done the real grunt work in northeastern Syria against ISIS. Makes me sick and Dana is but one voice among a deafening silence on the issue in Washington D.C.
I too, agree - good for Dana. He was our congressman when we lived in CA and always did a good job. Hope he can rattle enough rockets to get someone’s attention on this. It’s disgusting to think we’d betray the Kurds. The obozo administration promised them all kinds of help that never materialized...Wasn’t it Tillerson who was reported to have said a week ago that we’d stop supporting them? That’s sickening!
I can assure you that it will not be one voice.
Mine will be conveyed to my congressman (who already has a sympathetic ear) on Monday morning.

The issues in Iraq and Syria are very different. The enemies are the same. Turkey and Iran.
Here is why Trump won’t do this. If we try to arm the Kurds more than we have and push a Kurdish State, it will cause Turkey, Syria, Iraq and Iran to unite and turn away from the US completely. Turkey will leave NATO over this. Iraq will expel all Americans over this. Kurdistan will lose any war. This is a classic example of neocon foreign policy that will backfire like the Iraq war, Libya war and Syria did.
Notice who is pushing the “we must support the Kurds.” It’s the same old neocons.
Simple fact of the matter is were it not for the Kurds ISIS would now control most of Syria rather than the defeated
and battered hulk they now are. Particularly when Obama was President.The Kurds, not the Turks, Russians, Iranians, Iraqi, Syrians or the Obama administration, stopped ISIS in their tracks at the outset and reversed their gains in Syria.
I’m sorry - I got that wrong...He’s against the prime minister of Hungary taking action because of the refugees in his country.. Boy - We need score cards to keep track of all the people and regions in this world that make news.

I don’t know if we should even be over there.
But if we support anyone, is should be the Kurds.
I am not advocating interaction with the Kurds. Nor do I support “the enemy of my enemy is my friend!”
But I do seek to illuminate with some background history.
I am done serving in that particular theater of operations and have absolutely no desire to return. As there is no need.
We have an abundant oil reserves and other energy options right here. And it is readily available without shedding blood and bankrupting our country.

I’ve supported the Kurds for several years. On the basis of their bravery and how they treat their neighbors.
WHOA - let’s back up. I sent you the link to a previous FR thread from Breitbart. I don’t know where you got USA Today from. The article/thread was about Tillerson being against the PM of Hungary taking action to protect his country from the “refugees.”
We really were on two threads at that point - you posted the one about Rohrabacher and the Kurds and I chimed in in error about Tillerson and you said you hadn’t heard about him re that subject and I responded on the Rohrabacher thread about Tillerson from another thread. Clear?
