NEW YORK (AP) — PBS says it is immediately halting distribution of Charlie Rose's interview program and CBS News suspended him following The Washington Post's report of eight women who accused the veteran newsman of multiple unwanted sexual advances and inappropriate behavior.

The women, three of whom spoke on the record in the deeply-reported story, accused Rose of groping them, walking naked in front of them and relating an erotic dream.

Rose told the Post that he was "deeply embarrassed" and apologized for his behavior.

Rose's PBS show features his in-depth interviews with newsmakers....

I made the mistake of catching the first minute of the CBS Nightly News. Talk about burying the lede...

They opened the news with the following:

"We now know that President Donald Trump prefers an accused sexual predator over a Democrat in the Senate when he came out in support of Roy Moore today..."

I then changed the channel.

That's how CBS chose to set the table before getting to the Charlie Rose story.

Dude. That can burn out your retinas. You listen to those people, your blood pressure goes up and you keep retorting and rebutting in your head until passersby give you a wide berth. Never ever watch CBS or CNN or MSNBC or ABC or PBS. It’s just not worth it. Life’s too short.

“President Donald Trump prefers an accused sexual predator over a Democrat in the Senate”

Damn straight. Because the accusation against Moore is bogus and falling apart, and the Democrat is probably an inveterate sexual predator who just hasn’t gotten caught yet.

See! Now you got me retorting to those A-holes!

Honestly...

I was watching the last of the local news for the weather, and then went to the kitchen for a glass of water. When I came back into the living room, the CBS News had already started and I couldn't reach the remote fast enough.

Oh, and I may have heard it wrong. They may have said, "“President Donald Trump prefers an accused child molester over a Democrat in the Senate.”

Even worse, to make Charlie Rose only the "sexual predator" later on.

First of all, Hollywood and politics (also pro sports) are not “the real world”. I think people in those worlds have been treated like royalty for so long that they think the normal rules don’t apply to them. And for the most part, they are correct. They have been getting away with this stuff for so long that they take it for granted.

Second, as far as the rest of the world goes, think about it this way: If 99% of men are decent and normal, but 1% are Frankenpervs, that means that for every 100 men a woman knows, 1 of them is going to do something indecent. Since nearly every woman in the workplace has met at least 100 men, that means that nearly every woman in the workplace has had to deal with this stuff. For the 99% of men, since they aren’t doing it, it seems crazy to think that so many women are claiming to be victims of it. (Sadly, I think it’s more than 1% of men, so it’s even worse, but regardless, you get the idea.)

Third. Yelling at someone on the phone!! You should be shot at dawn. /s Seriously, don’t you think that just about everyone, men and women, have done SOMETHING at some point that they are not proud of? Most of us haven’t raped or robbed a bank or anything on that level, but I’m pretty sure all of us have at least one incident in our past that we would not like to be held up for public scrutiny. In fact, I would go so far as to say that if a person doesn’t have something he/she would be ashamed of, then it’s likely that person is a liberal and has no shame. Either that or a very poor memory. I think the difference between us and liberals is that we are ashamed of something like yelling at a woman on the phone (one time, in our youth) and they are not ashamed of seriously deviant behavior, often chronic and on-going and at an age when they should have been far past “youthful indiscretions” .

Who else is going to fall into the pit of their own making?

I want Gloria Allred disbarred & prosecuted for her life long bad behavior. It really would be ironic to see her daughter, Lisa Bloom, DEFENDING GLORIA !!!!
