My state is at the mercy of the democratic bastions of Baltimore City/County and Montgomery and Prince Georges County in the D.C. suburbs.
My county of Harford and most of the Eastern Shore and Western Maryland is relatively moderate to somewhat conservative.

I did vote for The Gipper both times and appreciate what he did for our country. He took over from Carter who had left us profoundly weak and it was amazing how he regained respect for the United States, much in the same way President Trump is doing now on the world stage.
I did vote for his Veep, Bush 41, both times as well as for Bush 43 in 2004. Sometimes, voting is done with little to no inspiration as in those cases.

Today, I wish that the congressional democrats, under Pelosi and Schumer, would do what was/is right for the nation and genuinely work with President Trump a la Tip O’Neill.

I pray that it won’t come to a bloody Civil War and I dread the prospect that President Trump will be totally obstructed by a divided government after next year’s midterms. Moreover, I fear all they will focus on is impeachment!!
God forbid, President Trump represents thee last hope to save our republic, traditional values and what’s remains of the free world.

Thanks for the kind welcome.
I did vote for President Reagan both times, Bush 41 both times and for Bush 43 in 2004.
However, none of them affected me enough to switch parties to participate in our GOP primary. Only (President) Trump managed to motivate me to that degree.
I do come from a mostly democrat family, but I am thee most politically engaged.
I did, however, do my best to delicately approach as many people in my orbit last year and prevailed upon them the dire consequences of the 2016 election. I stressed how critical is was that we elected (President) Trump in order to save, protect and defend our Union.

Thanks again for the warm welcome. I have depended upon Free Republic for vital information and insight since the time leading into the 2004 election. At that point, it was all about the Swift Boat Campaign to keep that traitor, John Kerry out of the White House. Sadly, Bush 43 proved to be a disaster and brought upon us Obummer. Just remember how nauseating it was to have to think about voting for McShame in 2008.

That leaves the country open to invasion, if too many strategic points are given over to the left.

You're right. They need to be exported to North Korea to live out their communist dreams.

Alberta can go down same road. If Texas and Alberta joined up, we’d have most of the world’s energy energy.

You bet. When Texas regains its status to raise its head once again as a free and sovereign republic and regains its original boundaries, we will be a stone throw away from Alberta. It would only make sense to ask Montana and the Dakotas to join in one of the worlds greatest republics in the World. This would drive a stake through this immoral Country's (and I use that term loosely) heart dividing one side that is nothing but a twin of Mexico and one is nothing more than pool of rich perverted children in the NE, mostly.

Everyone thinks democracy is freedom. It’s not. Democracy is simply 3 wolves and 1 sheep voting on what to have for dinner. A republic is a well armed sheep contesting the vote. Democracy is simply mob rule. Republic is law and order and everyone has the same rights. I’m amazed at how many people don’t know the difference.

Including this site

You think Texas will make a push for secession?

If Texas decides to go, that’s a fight I’d happily get behind. That means western Canada wins too.

At the last Republican convention we were close to getting two key Texas Constitution lines into the platform. Both had to do with State rights and one was the point of secession. The minor point of the constitutional point to exercise our States rights under the US using the 9th and 10th were affirmed to the similar Texas Constitutional rights. But the big one to actual vote to secede if the rights were violated failed by trickery by the Chairman of the GOP when he counted the votes, it was a show of hands then a voiced yea or nay. People in the convention were peeooed. The Texas Nationalist Movement has made some great strives inside of the Texas Capital and now with the new session soon to begin we believe there will be some more head ways made. Our biggest quest is a vote on the RIGHT for Texas to become a republic again. Texans should be given this vote and let the people decide the same way that the English were given to decide. We deserve that right to self determination. That is why we call it T for #TEXIT

Libs like islamics don’t want peace they want domination and they will use destruction to force surrender to their will not God’s will which is free for taking or rejecting. Libs,Islamics, communists, et al totalitarians believe in enforcing their will upon those who won’t accept or surrender to the left’s will and domination over one and all. It’s no longer the hippy generation’s “Do what you want to do.” It’s “Do what we tell you to do.” and “Believe what we tell you to believe. Or else....”
