Just returned from Germany, it is nothing like it was 10 years ago. ............................... I was there recently and into Poland, CR, and Ukraine. I had commented to my wife,when we were in Germany, “where are the Germans”? Berlin? Forgetaboutit. Poland had a few remaining Hanoi folks and a couple of others. It was the same with CZ, the Ukrainians we saw were Ukrainians. I visited the Viking sections of the north, where my ancestors came from and again it was a mix. Spoke to a fish vendor there, and he was from Long Island. I guess the next time I want to see Germany I’ll go to NYC, not much different people wise.
