The Defense Department said Thursday it "erroneously" retweeted a message calling for the resignation of President Donald Trump and Sen. Al Franken (D., Minn.) over sexual assault allegations.
The tweet, posted by @ProudResister and retweeted to the Pentagon’s more than 5.2 million followers, also called on Alabama’s Republican Senate candidate Roy Moore to drop out of the race. At least eight women have accused Moore of sexual harassment or assault while they were in their teens.
"The solution is simple… Roy Moore: Step down from the race. Al Franken: Resign from congress. Donald Trump: Resign from the presidency. GOP: Stop making sexual assault a partisan issue. It’s a crime as is your hypocrisy," the tweet read.
The message was posted briefly to the official Defense Department twitter account before being taken down.
Col. Rob Manning, director of the Defense Department’s press operations, swiftly issued a statement acknowledging an "authorized operator" of the official account "erroneously retweeted content that would not be endorsed by" the Pentagon.
Chief Pentagon spokeswoman Dana White posted the same statement to twitter, where it was retweeted by the Defense Department.

I seriously doubt that there is a man alive that has never taken advantage of a woman, pissed her off or did something she didn’t like.....so who does that leave? I know I cussed at my late wife on occasion in a heated argument. At a party with other drunken sailors a very long time ago, in front of my wife even, I placed my hand on a woman’s breast. I actually went in and got it! She dared me and I did it. I didn’t consider myself a pervert and they didn’t either. So who am I to judge anyone?

I can see that. I used to be an “Authorized Operator” of my companies Twitter feed. I once accidentally hit the retweet button on something that shouldn’t have been retweeted and had to delete it.

Don’t delude yourself. There is just as much opposition to MAGA from the Never Trump “conservatives.” Bush is even out there giving virtue signalling speeches and firing up opposition to Trump among his supporters/appointees.

I've certainly heard about the Al Franken assault. It's all over the media. Hard to miss it.
But this President Donald Trump sexual assault? I must have missed it. Or do they just throw in stuff out of the blue?
