Cruz pulls support from Moore: Allegations merit ‘criminal prosecution’ if true

Sen. Ted Cruz on Monday withdrew his support from Alabama GOP Senate nominee Roy Moore, saying allegations of sexual misconduct should be looked at by prosecutors.

“As it stands, I can’t urge the people of Alabama to support a campaign in the face of these charges without serious, persuasive demonstration that the charges are not true,” the Texas Republican told reporters, according to a Texas Tribune reporter.

“Both last week and this week, there are serious charges of criminal conduct that if true, not only make him unfit to serve in the Senate but merit criminal prosecution,” he added.

gleeaikin,

So many of these people would easily see how creepy, scuzzy and possibly criminal Roy Moore is if he had a ‘D’ after his name. It just bothers me how politics has colored every aspect of our thinking now days. Not one of these men would want to see Roy Moore around their teenage daughter but would love to elect him to the Senate. Tell me where that makes sense?

I’m upset at Mo Brooks and Luther Strange for not finding this information out in the primaries so the Alabama voter could make a better decision. Even if it makes your stomach crawl to find this stuff out, you do it because you know the Dems will use it in the general. Republicans have to have the worst oppo research ever. Out of all the allegations against him, the ones I find the worst are the 14 year old who claims he was forcing her hand on his penis and Beverly Nelson with the attempted rape. The others IMO are boorish and lurid behavior but these two fall into the criminal realm.

I'm sorry for your past experience, but there's no reason for you to fall for this obvious political hit job on Roy Moore.

This is what the left does, it's their MO. They've done it many times before, and they'll do it until it doesn't work and they get laughed off the stage.

They did it with Clarence Thomas, they did it with Herman Caine, Trump, others, and now Moore.

Trump was the only one who could fight back because he had the resources. Those women (more than with Moore), all slowly went away, discredited, plus they also knew Trump would go after each and every one in court.

With Moore, he has no such resource or recourse. Yet here you are making judgments on an obvious political hit. If it's not a political hit, why the timing? Why did not one of them come forward in forty years prior? Why was there not a smidge of a rumor, a hint of his problem? And worst of all, why is their no hint of him continuing to do this?

If you search your heart and mind, you'll know what's going on, and allowing yourself to get caught up with the collusion of the leftist media on the stories is a bit shameful.

Go here, since Theodore H didn’t, and scroll down for the past three days. It’s the best run down on evidence and why this is a fraud. Shame on you both: https://twitter.com/ThomasWictor?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5Eauthor

See. They’re all false stories in one way or another, tell the other guy old teuful (Not Theodore), since he’s unwilling to admit this is undoubtedly a political hit:

I clicked the link. The video screen was black for a time, finally it came up but said buffering. Then a flash saying 40 seconds. Finally after ten minutes a few words. It kept buffering, then few more words. Took 5 minutes for the 40 seconds to run. Heard snippets something like no recollection, not that I remember, I plan to vote for him. His body language seemed very uncertain when trying to remember, but firm when he said how he would vote.

As to my reaction to the woman, she sounded and looked very believable as she recounted almost exactly what I had experienced as I remembered what had happened to me almost 60 years ago. His fingers on my neck squeezing the carotid artery until I almost passed out, letting go and trying to force me to do what he wanted, me fighting, him squeezing my neck again until I almost passed out, stopping squeezing, my fighting again, him repeating 3 or 4 more times until he finally stopped and drove me back to town. I never reported this to the university. This is the first time I have ever told this to anyone except my life partner whom I told a few weeks ago when all this coverage of sexual misconduct by public men became big news. No woman with any pride wants to admit how utterly helpless this makes her feel. I had never felt weak and helpless before. At age ten I had wrestled 5 boys my age as an initiation and pinned each one for a count of 10. I was small and slim and they were all bigger and heavier than I was. Alas, I never had a date until I moved to a different town and school at age 16.

If you care to take this private, I'll be glad to.

Did you really go to the link @thomaswictor? If not, you need to.

I'm sorry for your plight. I'm also sorry you let it convince you that any woman who gets up and says this stuff is being truthful. If you can't see how the left uses this stuff so cavalierly to ruin others I can't help you. It's their MO.

If you want to keep it public on the board, please answer the questions I asked earlier.

Then count me as guilty, because when my daughters were in high school, I attended many graduation parties and said flattering things to their friends, because it was good for their morale, boost their self confidence, and learn that this world is a good place to live, which admires them. I was in my 50’s then, and the graduating class was around 18.

You should hang your head down in shame because hand writing experts have now opined that it is NOT Roy Moore’s handwriting, and a forgery.

I have gone to this link and read a number of the comments and opinions. I am not sure which question you want answered, please tell me the comment number.

Regarding the many different scandals, I remember when the Clarence Thomas hearings were being held, someone I knew told me he had been working in the same Civil Rights office building before that hearing and that CT had a reputation for messing with the women. I forget the details, and have no way to verify this, just that a person I knew who seemed reasonably intelligent reported that was common knowledge/gossip?.

Now here is something about the Al Frankin dust up. I found the notice below regarding a Democrat group urging Frankin to resign so Muslim Keith Ellison can be named by the Governor as a replacement. Note the name of the person signing this at the bottom. Something else to worry about!!

“After a disturbing photo was released this morning, Sen. Al Franken admitted to sexually assaulting a female colleague on a 2006 USO Tour overseas. News anchor Leeann Tweeden came forward to tell her story in a blog post detailing how Franken had groped and kissed her without her consent.
It would be profoundly hypocritical for Democrats to stand by Franken in this moment. We can’t tolerate harassment or assault.
Given this news, we are calling for Franken to resign his seat. In Minnesota, a vacancy would need to be filled by an appointment from Gov. Mark Dayton. After Franken resigns, we are calling on the governor to appoint Rep. Keith Ellison as the next U.S. senator from Minnesota.
Sign your name now if you agree Franken should resign and be replaced by Keith Ellison. We’ll deliver all the signatures to Gov. Dayton’s office.
Sign the petition »

Keith Ellison has a strong progressive track record of standing up for social, economic, racial, and climate justice. He was one of the first sitting members of Congress to endorse Bernie Sanders in 2015, even though it was a major political risk to do so.
Keith would make an excellent interim senator before Minnesotans head to the polls in 2018 to vote for a replacement. Let’s make sure Gov. Dayton knows Keith’s our first choice.

"You should hang your head down in shame because hand writing experts have now opined that it is NOT Roy Moore’s handwriting, and a forgery."

That's simply not the case. A handwriting expert would have to have it in his hands to examine. They haven't given it up yet so you are lying. I agree that they should give it to handwriting experts to be examined, but that hasn't happened yet. Someone looking at pictures on the internet and taking apart the video of her press conference is not a handwriting expert examining it.

His thread is now on its fourth day. If you didn't read it from day one, you haven't seen just how brilliant a take down it was.

Comment 344: If it's not a political hit, why the timing? Why did not one of them come forward in forty years prior? Why was there not a smidge of a rumor, a hint of his problem? And worst of all, why is their no hint of him continuing to do this?

Progressive insurance has a new commercial that illustrates female repression circa 1950s. It’s obscene.

History is lost on these progressives whom were no doubt the worst offenders of the injustices they opportunistically parade.

Nice!

I had forgotten Cruz did this. Thanks for the reminder.

Great tagline.
