Known for his insightful take on politics, journalist and author Thomas Wictor believes Judge Roy Moore’s signature in Gloria Allred accuser Beverly Young Nelson’s yearbook is a forgery.
Wictor’s shock claim are highlighted by four anomalies laid out below.

The sevens in 1977 to the right of “Christmas,” are very different from the sevens in the date (12-22-77) above “Old Hickory House.”
“Look at the two versions of the number “7,” tweeted Wictor.
“”12-22-77” and “Olde Hickory House” were written by a different person,” he added.
Next, Wictor points out “the “R” and “y” in “Roy,”” are not written the same way.
The inflection of the “Y” is more pronounced in Moore’ signature as Chief Justice. The “R” is noticeably longer in the signature of Chief Justice, as well.
If he really wrote that, it proves he wrote that. What else is there? BTW-What high school publishes their yearbook in December?
While the analysis may be correct, the “analyst” is no more a handwriting expert than I am. And I’m not one.
What’s kind of funny about this is that there was a thread earlier where folks were arguing it was a forgery because it matched too closely to a current Roy Moore signature.
He denied it.
The “oor” in Moore is also different.
I did think the printed name of the restaurant was odd.
If the signature is forged, someone REALLY doesn’t want Moore in the Senate. I’m looking at you, turtle.
It looks like the “smoking gun” just turned into an exploding cigar. I hope Roy’s team fights back hard on this.
To me the bottom date and “Olde Hickory House” look like something the owner of the yearbook would have written.
It doesn’t look the same at all.
The real problem is....The Note is addressed to No One....and it looks like 3 people have had their hand in this. Note also the smudges on the page.
One down and how many to go?
So some send the photo of the signature to a forensic document examiner. The examiner could also collect known writing samples of Moore from the time. I imagine court records are full of them. These examiners are experts who will quickly get to the truth.
We need a FR connected handwritting expert..someone has to know of someone...ASAP...We can take the lead just like when we brought down Dan Rather.
Look at the “M”s in the word ‘Merry’ and the name ‘Moore’.
The one in his signature is rounded at the top, whereas the one in Merry is not.
Look at the text writing itself, all crabbed together and hard to read.
Being someone who writes like that, my signature matches my writing style, all crabbed together and hard to read
Just looking at his real signature, I can see his open style and imagine his handwriting would be likewise open as well. I cannot imagine his being all crabbed together and hard to read with such broad strokes in his signature.
