The allegations against Roy Moore are disgusting — and if you find yourself reluctant to say so because of your politics, then you’re pretty gross, too.
The Leigh Corfman story, reported by the Washington Post, is about so much more than just some older guy having a relationship with some younger girl. That, of course, would be bad enough — many girls haven’t even had their f***ing periods at age 14 — but this is also about a man who abuses his power to prey on the powerless. It’s about a respected district attorney finding a girl in a vulnerable position (waiting with her mother outside of a child-support hearing) and relishing in the opportunity to take advantage of it. It’s a sick story that is all too common, and one that will continue to be common if we refuse to speak out against it.
I believe that Roy Moore was a predator with a penchant for teenage girls. No, not because I’m some p***y-hat-wearing snowflake (as eloquent as that argument is) but because of logic. As my colleague David French notes, there are a lot of reasons to believe these allegations: There are multiple accusers. These women didn’t come to the press seeking attention, they simply answered the questions when the press came to them. They have witnesses corroborating their stories. Finally, the woman with the most serious allegations, Leigh Corfman, voted for Donald Trump in 2016 — making the political-hit-job storyline laughable at best.
If you think there’s no way you know anyone personally who has been through something like this; you’re wrong again, and it’s time for people on all political sides to recognize reality: These men are everywhere, so are their victims, and those victims aren’t talking points for your partisan-hack gotcha tweets. They’re people.

That this is a text book smear attempt, is sufficiently obvious that I used a similar fictionalized smear by an antagonist (The New York Times) in a novel published in 1998, as a literary device:
I do agree with every word she wrote.
We expect sexual harassers and abusers to deny. That’s what they do - they blame their victims for their vile behvior.
And basic human decency isn’t about politics. Moore has no business resorting to nuts & sluts defense and neither do his defenders.
His accusers didn’t come forward. They were asked to tell the truth. Moore has to prove a negative. Its virtually impossible here.
Whether Left or Right, our current social milieu is intolerant of sexual predators. Even Bill Clinton would not get away today with what he got away with over twenty years ago.
And no, every body doesn’t do it. That’s the exactly the point here.
Somehow this wasn’t important during the primary or last year or last decade or last century.
At first it seemed this editorial might have been about the hypocrisy of Hillary’s nasty cat women who excused his behavior in the most base terms.

The one and only thing that unites the uniparty is corruption.
Trump has already made some progress in draining some of the swamp. For example, he made some kinda deal with King Salman of Saudi Arabia, and as a result, Salman's trusted son Mohammed bin Salman arrested and froze the billions in assets of one of the biggest anti-American corrupters: Alwalid bin Talal, who owned the likes of obama hillary fox news and twitter.
This all happened last week.
But given what we have here this week, there are still many corrupters out there. Hey President Trump: can you say, "soros and bezos", just to name a few?
I don’t understand how it can look “real” if nobody answers how the reporters found these women after forty years of silence.
If you condemn politicians because some paid opposition party liar makes false claims, you are a disgusting bigot.

When it comes to wrong-doing, we don’t need to wait for the courts to sort it out.
That’s exactly what people did with Weinstein and Spacey. Sorry, but our guy deserves a pass because he’s our guy doesn’t wash.
If sexual misconduct is wrong, its wrong for every one, period and none of us gets to choose which sexual predator we would like to absolve.
If a 32 year old man doesn’t know what’s appropriate behavior, that’s exactly why he’s in trouble. We shouldn’t be even having this discussion in the first place.
They were asked to tell something, and probably induced, too. And no, Clinton wouldn’t be in any more trouble now than he was then.
