Isn’t the Army’s new M18 good enough for ‘em?
We don’t need any more of the Army’s hand-me-downs.
Forty years ago we got their old 2 man sleeping bags. We never could figure out what we were supposed to do with them.
But, what about COLON Kaepernick?
The Army grossly over-spec’d the M17/M18.
Pistols are the LAST weapon you’d want to have to use, but the Army put $600 million to this program and that doesn’t include all the precursor contests: Combat Pistol, Joint Combat Pistol, et al.
The Glock 19 was really the best all-around solution (IMHO) without the need for multiple aborted and unresolved RFPs and competitions. A simple, off-the-shelf solution that works marvelously everywhere its been tried.
