At least two people were fatally shot in Lower Manhattan Tuesday afternoon by a gunman firing from his truck, police sources said.
The gunman, who is in police custody, shot at least six people at West Street and Chambers Street, which is near Stuyvesant High School, at 3:15 p.m.

I was once engaged to a lady who went to Stuyvesant. Weird place. It is as elite as public schools get, and given the timing (3:15pm) I wouldn’t be surprised if the school letting out had something to do with it. Last I checked, as many Asian as white students.

All other fatalities caused by Home Depot truck being driven by a terrorist and running down bicyclists and pedestrians.
Appears all the shooting was done by the police. The truck driver drove through the bike lane, killing at least four bikers.
The story changes every two minutes. Home Depot rental truck went on and off the bike path for 12 blocks. Then started shooting. Does not sound like an argument between two drivers which is what Fox news was saying when I first tuned in. Crazy!

There seems to be a lot of “road rage” like this in places like Afghanistan!!
“Jesus! A car just ran over 2 people and then crashed into a school bus. I see two dead bodies and citibikes on the floor destroyed,” a Twitter user wrote.
The suspect then got out of his vehicle with two guns, another witness said.
“What happened was there was a car crash… he came out of one of the cars. He had two guns,” a 14-year-old Stuyvesant HS student said. “We thought it was a Halloween thing. He started running around the highway. There was another guy in a green shirt that was chasing him around.”

I'm tempted to do so every morning I drive through downtown DC and have to dodge random bicyclists.
Of course, I have never done so, but it is a recurring temptation.
