I’m sorry, I do not see how Big Bang universe is the anti-atheist theory..
Remember Steven Hawking is one of the world’s most prominent atheists, as well as the High Priest of Big Bang.
Anyway, as for my theology: I consider that creation is ongoing, everywhere, all the time—and it is totally the work of God all wise, to whom be glory through Jesus Christ for ever, as indicated in Romans 16:27.
“For ever” (KJV) means to me: all the time, as far back and as far forward as we care to imagine.
Georges Lemaître, the man who thought up the theory (not originally “big bang” but “primeval atom” or sometimes “cosmic egg”), was no atheist. A Catholic theologian, rather; and his theorizing always centered around an initial creation event. It is he and Hubble that are often cited when it comes to the expanding universe, which would be concurrent with Job 9:8, Isaiah 40:22 and 44:24. People such as Hawking have as their purpose the attempt to remove God from that cosmology and attach “evolution” to the evident creation event, which thus far they’ve failed miserably at.
No Big Bang: Scripture says that God is “not the author of confusion.”
