Conservative Website First Funded Anti-Trump Research by Firm That Later Produced Dossier
New York Slimes Fake Identification Desk ^ | October 27, 2017 | VOGEL and HABERMAN, Attention Misdirectors

The Washington Free Beacon, a conservative website funded by a major Republican donor, was the first to hire the firm that conducted opposition research on Donald J. Trump — including a salacious dossier describing ties between Mr. Trump and the Russian government — website representatives told the House Intelligence Committee on Friday.

According to people briefed on the conversation, the website hired the firm, Fusion GPS, in October 2015 to unearth damaging information about several Republican presidential candidates, including Mr. Trump. But The Free Beacon told the firm to stop doing research on Mr. Trump in May 2016, as Mr. Trump was clinching the Republican nomination.

In April 2016, Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign and the Democratic National Committee also retained Fusion GPS to research any possible connections between Mr. Trump, his businesses, his campaign team and Russia. Working for them, Fusion GPS retained a respected former British spy named Christopher Steele.

The Slimes identifies the Washington Free Beacon as a "Conservative" website when it is a RINO Republican Swamp supporting website.

Interesting theory from someone on facebook, sorta does make sense:

Rodney Brown: They are admitting to it to hopefully make the congressional hearing committee quit digging into Fusion GPS bank accounts. WISE UP!

What ever happened to the need for the word “alleged” for an accusation not proven? ...as in ...alleged ties.

The DNC dossier wasn’t opposition research, it was libel, fraud and foreign collusion.
But liberals have a history of redefining terms so the good ones always include them and the bad terms always apply to everyone else.

RINO Republican Swamp supporting website?

Bill Gertz is published there. He’s about the furthest thing from a RINO, as one can get.

Maybe there are RINOs there, but Gertz is far, far from a RINO. About the complete opposite.

Desperation setting in as the MSM tries to spin this as a dual operation between Republicans and Democrats. The fun is just beginning. Pass the popcorn please.

Who funded the WFB?

Billionaire Hedge Funder Paul Singer is a large contributor and a GOPee Statist Insider funder as well.

Anti Trumper Bill Kristol's daughter edits the WFB.

The slimes are doing what they usually do, conflating two things to misrepresent what was going on. The Wash Free Beacon hired Fusion to do opposition research on several Republicans, including Trump. However, when President Trump looked like he was getting the nomination, they pulled out and paid no more. That was when the Dems and Hillary took over paying Fusion. It was only AFTER the Free Beacon pulled out and the Dems took over that Steele was hired and the dossier was put together. So this BS that the Free Beacon was initially behind the dossier is a typical Dem, Hillary lie.

This is fake news, Jack Posobiec all over it. NYT wants to shift blame off Hillary but Beacon only paid for oppo research, nothing to do with dossier.

Hillary and the DNC’s law firm already admitted they paid for the Steele dossier. Free Beacon not involved. Hoax media on steroids tonight— Jack Posobiec 🇺🇸 (@JackPosobiec) October 28, 2017
