For the second time in two weeks, a Texas judge has announced departure from the Republican Party to become a Texas Democrat. Judge Lauren Parish of the 115th Judicial District Court which serves Upshur and Marion Counties, announced Friday she will be leaving the Republican Party and will now identify as a Democrat. Parish served as a democrat for years but, as her East Texas community became more Republican, she made the switch. This news comes only one week after Justice Terry Jennings of Texas’ First Court of Appeals announced his departure from the Republican party saying, “The Democratic party- and the Democratic party alone- presents our country with a positive and optimistic vision for the future of all Americans, not just a select few.”

Apparently she is a whore, given her propensity to hop from bed to bed with the frequency of a cheap ham radio.

No principles.

I guess judges are elected there not appointed, so she wants to switch parties to make sure she keeps getting elected?

Moving from liberal to conservative was only a marriage of convenience because the electorate was doing it. What triggered the return to liberalism - dna???

Well judgey! Laws aren’t Republican or Democrat! At least they’re not supposed to be. Does it matter which party you are to adjudicate laws? Apparently so!

Adios MF!

And this judge needs to be checked for drug usage.

This news comes only one week after Justice Terry Jennings of Texas’ First Court of Appeals announced his departure from the Republican party saying, “The Democratic party- and the Democratic party alone- presents our country with a positive and optimistic vision for the future of all Americans, not just a select few.”

Judge Lauren Parish of the 115th Judicial District Court...will now identify as a Democrat.

Will she identify as Lawrence Parish next month? With any luck, after the next time she runs for election, she'll identify as EX-Judge Parish.

Judges by definition are to be impartial. Apparently that no longer applies.

Something weird here. Perhaps this is just stupid virtue signalling by a judge with no principles who switched parties.

I found this article that states Lauren Parish isn't going to run for re-election in 2018.

Parish has been re-elected every four years since 1994. She ran on the Democratic ticket each time, except in 2014 when she switched to the Republican Party. In October, Parish said she was returning to the Democratic Party, explaining her decision was based upon GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump's behavior.

So, perhaps THAT is why she had the "courage" to try to show she has convictions.
