If the GOP majority wants to get real border enforcement through, instead of caving most of the time, they should simply get rid of the two-track rule for the filibuster. That way, the Dems couldn’t just obstruct, obstruct, obstruct. They would have to pick their battles more carefully, since each filibuster would mean an endless talk stream on the Senate floor by Democrat after Democrat without rest, forgoing all other Senate business in the meantime.

In a rational system taxes for business would not exist at the Federal level. Second best would be the same 9% or so flat unmodified by anything tax rate on earned income. Taxes on business are in reality taxes on US. We pay them. They are another expense of production like materials and salaries.

Frankly that is not very rational. I guess the companies move out of state, hire lawyers and complain about taxes just because they do not want to pass these taxes on to the people? Of course not! when they complain of taxes they don't complain that they will have to pass them onto the people they complain because they do not like to pay them. The Republican party used to be the party that wanted to spend money on building the country then suddenly about a hundred years ago they became the party of lower spending and lower taxes. What happened? What happened is the income tax was passed and became law and suddenly they had to pay it! Now after we lowered their taxes over the past 30 years they suddenly are not so opposed to spending. Gee why is that?

The Democrat party is run by wealthy urban elites and the Republican party is run by corporate Chamber of Commerce elites and the more you lower taxes on them the more they will spend and that is one reason we have such a huge deficit.

If these people want my support for lower taxes they are going to have to rein in their spending, stop trying to tear down our borders and stop the lying and smear tactics of us by the national corporate media. While it is true that property taxes can be passed on under certain market conditions it is not so true of income taxes on wealthy and corporate entities. I used to support lowering them, but because of the above conditions I now support raising them on the very people responsible for spending all that money, tearing down our borders, refusing to stand for the national anthem and just plain running this country into the ground which is what they are doing. Raising taxes would wake them up and correct their behaviors faster than anything else.
