McCain Bursts Out Laughing When Asked if He's Scared of Trump
Newsweek ^ | October 23, 2017 | Harriet Sinclair

The suggestion that President Donald Trump could be scary has moved Senator John McCain to laughter, and a reiteration of the sentiment that he’s faced far worse than the mercurial president.

The Arizona senator and the president have been embroiled in something of a spat in recent months, disagreeing on a number of issues including health care.

Appearing alongside his panel host daughter on The View on Monday, McCain, 81, was asked whether he was afraid of Trump.

The war hero senator burst out laughing, telling the panel: “I mentioned that I had faced greater challenges.”

No, but he is afraid of the Grim Reaper.
You can see it in his eyes.
He’s starting to see his shadow.

He’s an infant. It is so pathetic. His father should have FORCED the Naval Academy to expel the failing McCain and done his nation a solid, instead of letting the little scumbag benefit from their good family name of which he wasn’t worthy.

And Trump hasn't?

Trump is the President of our nation. As such he is having to face down Kim in North Korea, Russia in Syria, Iran in Iraq, and a number of terrorist organizations that John and his best buds Barack and Hillary empowered in the Middle East.

This causes me to wince when they call a man like this a war hero.

That’s my take as well. Other students would not have been let into the Naval Air corp training with the academic record of John McCain. And once he flew his first ride into the brink, that would have been it.

He was a total screw off. So sad how his character is blown up,...

Once he lost his first three rides there’s no way he would have been given a fourth and fifth one.

I’m not an expert on this from person experience, but I’ve heard it said by others who I was inclined to respect.

His first trainer was not impressed with him. He said he would have washing him out if he could.

Trump is living rent-free in McCain’s head. McCain has abandoned every principle he ever held because he can’t get over his Trump butt-hurt.

John McCain came from a respected naval family. He made it through the naval academy which is no easy thing. Became a naval aviator and a POW. If he had stopped there he would have had a honorable and exceptional life. He had to ruin it all by getting into politics. The Keating 5 and his later political career destroyed anything positive. He is going to go down as a failure who accomplished nothing after he came home from Vietnam. Such a waste.

He is going to go down as a failure who accomplished nothing after he came home from Vietnam.

To those in the know, maybe.

To the news media he is the great hero who stood up to all foolish and evil Republicans, and especially to President Trump, and he will celebrated as such as long (not long now) as they can use him against decency and common sense.

When you look at this college records, he fails. He graduated somewhere around 780 out of a class of 790.

When he got into flight training, something nobody else could do, he screwed off there.

His first aircraft loss was overshooting the end of the runway and wound up in the ocean at the end of the runway.

He claimed engine trouble. They hauled the aircraft out of the water. Dried it off and prepped it. It started right up, no problem.

He was supposed to fly a certain number of hook landings on an aircraft carrier. The number was five if I recall accurately. He did one or two.

His trainer was really upset. He didn’t think he was ready.

This opens up a whole can of worms regarding this flight service. Was he ready? Was he qualified? Was his loss over Vietnam avoidable? I’m not sure.’

I do know that there was a certain route that our forces were using prior to McCain being shot down and captured. That route became compromised shortly after his POW stint started.

The problem I have with all this, is how much of a screw-up McCain had been prior to his flight school training ending. I mean his whole life was a sordid string of screw-ups and special treatment.

During college or his Naval flight school days, he kept an apartment in the city. (think it was his college days) Anyone else would have been drummed out. He wasn’t.

Did his lack of dedication cost him later on? It may have.

After his military career, he was the same man he had been before his Naval career. He was a screw off.

I give the guy very little respect.

Like flying and landing a plane without crashing it ... not always successful though.

He’s not a hero. He’s a casualty, survivor, sufferer.

Heros do something to save others, something to advance a war or turn it to victory.

Nothing like that describes McCain.

He’ll be given a big military funeral and will be interred at Arlington. They may even name a Carrier after him, but not while The Donald is POTUS.
