The Obama Administration’s Uranium One Scandal
National Review ^ | October 21,2017 | Andrew C. McCarthy

Posted on 10/22/2017 10:51:41 AM PDT by Hojczyk

Interestingly, as the plea agreement shows, the Obama DOJ’s Fraud Section was then run by Andrew Weissmann, who is now one of the top prosecutors in Robert Mueller’s ongoing special-counsel investigation of suspected Trump collusion with Russia.

There was still one other problem to tamp down. That was the informant — the lobbyist who alerted the FBI to the Russian racketeering enterprise back in 2009. He wanted to talk.

Specifically, as his attorney, Ms. Toensing, explains, the informant wanted to tell Congress what he knows — about what the FBI and the Justice Department could already have proved in 2010 when CFIUS signed off on Russia’s acquisition of American nuclear material, and about what he’d learned of Russian efforts to curry favor with Bill and Hillary Clinton. But he was not allowed to talk.

It turns out, the lawyer explains, that the FBI had induced him to sign a non-disclosure agreement. The Justice Department warned him that it was enforceable — even against disclosures to Congress. (Because, you know, the FBI is opposed to all leaks and disclosures of confidential investigative information . . . except those initiated by the FBI, of course.) In addition, when the informant was primed to file a federal civil lawsuit to recover his own losses from the scheme, he claims that the Justice Department threatened him with prosecution, warning that a lawsuit would violate the non-disclosure agreement. The Hill reports that it has obtained emails from a civil lawyer retained by the witness, which describe pressure exerted by the Justice Department to silence the informant.

What a coincidence: That was in 2016, the stretch run of Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign.

This stinks.

I’ve cited this info before but it’s always good to review.

In a presentation by a long time professional/commercial video production guy, he threw out several fascinating and disturbing stats about the millennials who will soon be leading our nation (and much of the world):
* They no longer read BOOKS but get their info from their electronic devices;
* If a presentation fails to grab their attention in 8 SECONDS, they’re on to something else;
* They RARELY — if ever — watch ANYTHING that runs over 2 MINUTES in length.

Sadly, this “problem” is not confined to our younger folks. Thanks to the incursion of Marxists into our institutions — mainly the GOVERNMENT SCHOOLS — in the 30’s, SHORT ATTENTION SPANS and general DUMBING DOWN and loss of CRITICAL THINKING skills of those older folks began our Lemming-like march into the sea of the Marxist socialization of our political/governmental system. Television has played a HUGE role in the growth of the short attention spans. George Orwell saw the “Telescreens” coming and made them a key element in his prophetic novel “1984”. The left cleverly and quietly captured control of the medium and it is now their main propaganda venue.

(ABOUT 11:38 IN JOE DAN OFFERS EVIDENCE OF WHERE THAT “CONTROL” IS GOING. Can you say “CENSORSHIP”?)

Couple that with the fact advertising people have known and exploited for decades that the average human requires 7 IMPRESSIONS (VIEWINGS or EXPOSURES) for a “message” to “stick”. Now you know why you are seeing more and more back-to-back ad spots interrupting your favorite TV show.

I’ve said all of that to call your attention to the latest episode of Joe Dan Gorman’s “INTELLECTUAL FROGLEGS”. If you can, please carve out 30 minutes to watch Joe Dan’s entertaining video combination expose of the dark side/love song to the America our inattention to the important “stuff” is allowing to slip away.

At the time, Russia was plotting — successfully — to secure U.S. government approval for its acquisition of Uranium One, and with it, tens of billions of dollars in U.S. uranium reserves.

Is there any evidence that even one dime of that tens of billons of dollars went into The U.S. Treasury?

Or did Russia bank the tens of billions? Looks to me like the only people who profitted from Uranium One was Clinton and Putin. And Iran.

Only on non-Ministry of Propaganda sources.
ABCCBSNBCPBSCNNNPR isn’t covering it so it didn’t happen.
Just like Fast and Furious.
Just like Benghazi.
Has anyone ever been identified as responsible for the conscious decision to run with a lie about a video when they knew it was not true?
Has ANY Ministry of Propaganda organ even acknowledged that the administration was lying?

And yet for some reason Putin wanted Trump to be President. Why else would Russia have worked to undermine Hillary?

Stinks? It is the putrefaction of the criminal enterprise democrat party. That stench is their common scent.

These were mining rights owned by US mining companies and not by the US government as far as is known. It didn’t seem too odd when Canadian mining magnate and Clinton friend Frank Giustra began accumulating uranium mining rights. It wasn’t until those accumulated rights were sold to the Russian government’s Rosatom that eyebrows were raised.

Good point. I wonder how much those companies paid in taxes for those transactions. You'd think Cankles would be shouting that from the rooftop.

Unlessssssssss, of course. Sayyyyy, you don't suppose those mining companies benefitted from sort of tax break, do you?

Everyone should send this to Drudge. I bet it’s because of this article that Schumer and the rest have been making extra noise this past week.

I’d forgotten about Anna Chapman. But, yeah, she could’ve had access to Hillary. Intelligence agencies from all countries routinely use sexy women to gain access to sensitive information. Pillow talk is probably the main way that state secrets are divulged.

According to the MSM, Trump was Putin's guy.

I was being ironic.

Yeah, it sucks. But by ignoring this, the MSM just ensures that it will get bigger and more blatant.
