I did it! All my time spent on Google Earth paid off! I got here just fine, except for one wrong turn on the dirt road near the cottages. But the signage out here in the boondocks leaves a lot to be desired! Egad! But I found the right one on the second go-’round!
The weather has been perfect, if a bit warm mid-afternoon. Had to have a jacket this evening for the open pavilion.

I thought everyone was gone for the night.
Brr, brrr, brrrr! Teens are too cold! But then I whine when it drops below 65 degrees. LOL!
Not nearly as cold here and the weekend is going to be fairly warm. Next week, the temps will dip again and we’ll get some rain, which we need, when another cold front comes through.
Yes, Tupelo is back on and it’s gonna HURT getting up before I normally go to bed. I won’t be here tomorrow night because if I turn the computer on, I’ll stay up too late.
I’m pumped about seeing ALL the stuff that fella has in his collection. The museum here didn’t buy everything. The excitement will help me drag my carcass out of bed Sat. morning. LOL

We had power outages following back to back storms at one time. Anxious to see what happens.
I was kilnda proud of myself. LOL! Even though I was kind of nervous, the interstate wasn’t too awful. Lots of trucks but we have plenty of those in west Texas!
It’s a gorgeous cloudy, cool calm morning. Nothing to hear but birds and far off human noises. Peaceful. I’m pretty sure I saw an eagle soaring over the lake yesterday afternoon. One of the guys has a drone and when he flew it high over the lake, I thin the eagle thought it was food. LOL! The guy that takes care of the cottages said there are eagles living around there on the bluffs.

Good morning, beachie. *HUGZ* And yes, it IS morning. Got up early in hopes of going to sleep early-ish tonight. The alarm going off at 4 a.m. tomorrow is gonna HURT. That's BEFORE my usual bedtime. LOL
I hope the day's going smoothly and that the weather is nice up there. It's gorgeous here today and tomorrow promises to be as well for our trip to MS to bring back more military vehicles and other items for the museum here.

It had to be nerve-wracking making the trip alone this time. That’s a long haul and being on unfamiliar roads for a ways didn’t help. But ya done it!
Glad the weather’s cooperating and hope it continues through the weekend.
Maybe you’ll get more sightings of the eagles that live around the lake. It would be neat to see one dive into the lake for a fish.
