Geraldo Rivera: Anything Trump Does Construed in 'Most Wicked, Negative Way Possible'
Fox News Insider ^ | 10/14/2017 | na

Geraldo Rivera said his trip to Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria confirmed how badly biased the press is against President Trump.

"Having seen how he was treated in Puerto Rico and then seeing the press about how he was treated in Puerto Rico it was almost an absolute 100 percent disconnect," the Fox News contributor told "Fox & Friends" on Saturday.

Rivera visited Puerto Rico and interviewed the president and first lady as they surveyed storm relief efforts in the devastated country.

He remembered crowds who were "ebullient" about the president's visit.

The federal government's response to Hurricane Maria has been far better than it is given credit for, he continued.

"This president has the worst relationship not only with the press but with those on the other side of the aisle that I have seen since Richard Nixon," Rivera said.

"He does not get the benefit of the doubt for anything. Anything he does is construed in the most wicked, negative way possible."

I see the media as Sisyphus, pushing that rock up the hill and just getting nowhere.

Looks like Sisyphus is getting tired of pushing a rock up a hill and having it completely get away from them time after time.

Perhaps it’s time to play a new game. Maybe just report the news?

As for Jerry Rivers:

clichés about blind squirrels and broken clocks come to mind in this case.

Geraldo is losing his shirt in this current situation. In order to be taken as a “serious” reporter, what else might one say to explain what is being seen? Otherwise, it’s back to Al Capone’s vault for him.

...I would tend to agree, and I believe there are glimpses emerging where journwhorelists are realizing Trump has won and being remembered for being on the right side of history may matter soon.

He has claimed to be a Republican and was possibly interested in running for office in New Jersey.

"'This president has the worst relationship not only with the press but with those on the other side of the aisle that I have seen since Richard Nixon,' Rivera said."

That's because President Trump's opponents want to obstruct our national defense against communist nations, while they squeeze every dollar that they can steal out of the markets. If they had their way, they would do so right up to having our country invaded and occupied by foreign enemies. Then, they would suck up to the invaders.

The way opponents of our President see it, every dollar that goes to defense stays out of their pockets. And every market that changes unexpectedly (e.g., from warfare situations) costs them money that they have invested. They want everything in the markets to stay the same except for the situations they create by shorting markets.

Scott Adams writes about our "One screen-two movies" reality. Leftists and everyone else are watching the same thing, i.e., Trump, but having remarkably different reactions.

Here is what Adams believes must happen for someone to no longer see the "Leftist" version of the movie:

In order for our two-movie situation to merge back into a single movie, one of us needs to see our expectations violated in ways that even cognitive dissonance can’t explain away.

I think this is exactly what happened to Geraldo in PR.
