San Diego State University has set aside a large chunk of money to pay for its students’ Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals application renewal fees.

Officials at the the public university allocated $130,000 to fund the renewal application fees, which run $495 apiece.

“This is a one time funding allocation not to exceed $130,000 and will be given to the SDSU Economic Crisis Response Team. This could fund up to 262 student DACA renewals which we are told by the University would be sufficient,” D. Hayden Willis, vice president of financial affairs at SDSU, wrote in a Sept. 25 memo to the Financial Affairs Committee.

I suspect it’s free housing, free food, free utilites, free tuition, free medical care, and now free DACA renewal, for at least some of these folks.

It sure pays to be a citizen. /s

You aren’t far off. I hear radio ads on iHeart constantly for the outfit at link below. Everything FREE from laptops to food. All you need to do is enroll in a CA community college. English not required.

I’ve vented about this before. My granddaughter was born in St Louis but raised in Costa Rica. She chose to go to San Diego state, which, of course, charged her out-of-state tuition. It took her two years of living in and paying hefty taxes to California before SDSU agreed to charge her in-state tuition. They told her she had to have a Calif Drivers License, she got one. They told her she had to be registered to vote, she registered. “Opps, you applied for in-state tuition too late, try again next semester.” Meanwhile “dreamers” got in-state tuition, and now SDSU will help pay the fees to apply for DACA!

Meanwhile, Hepatitis A keeps killing San Diegans and only now is the city picking up homeless people’s crap (literally). But hey, homeless rights and ‘dreamer’ rights trump citizens’ rights in SD.

So I’m guessing if the “public” university has enough money to do all of this, they no longer need “public tax dollars!”

I have a bud in L.A. who says the same thing. The homeless get kicked out of one spot he passes by daily to work by the LAPD and they go back to the same spot after the LAPD and the cleaners clean up their sh*t. All in 24 hours. He lost sympathy for these “homeless” people because they ALL look healthier than he was. They’re just a bunch of lazy leeches.
