College athletes kneel for anthem because America 'not worth being proud of'
American Thinker ^ | 10/12/2017 | Rick Moran

Back in the early 1980s, some conservatives began raising the alarm about the rising tide of anti-Americanism in primary and secondary public schools. "History" textbooks became "social studies" textbooks. Teaching the incredible story of America's founding was given short shrift, inspiring stories of individual Americans were omitted in favor of highlighting our many faults and teaching a form of "social history" that concentrated on those who were oppressed in the past.

There is nothing wrong with teaching the complex and problematic history of America's past. But not at the expense of the truth. In fact, the amazing story of our founding and growth as a bastion of individual liberty and democracy was deliberately buried to inculcate a false consciousness about America to which few could feel pride.

After nearly 50 years of indocrtination, those efforts have borne bitter fruit.

PJ Media:

Two students at one of America’s most elite liberal arts colleges recently decried America as not offering “anything worth being proud of.”

In an opinion essay for The Oberlin Review, student field hockey team members Kennedy Kline and Ua Hayes boasted of taking the knee during the National Anthem at their most recent field hockey game:

When our field hockey team stood for the national anthem Saturday, it didn’t feel right. We didn’t feel proud to be standing for America because we didn’t feel that America offers anything worth being proud of.

Both Kline and Hayes are students at Oberlin College, currently ranked the 26th top liberal arts college by U.S. News and World Report. Comprehensive tuition is $67,917 for one year alone, not including expenses like travel and books.

Citing America’s history of slavery, Kline and Hayes justify their actions by claiming that their "blackness" supersedes their identity as Americans.

If this really catches on, the country is doomed.

In very short order.

1968 will seem like a walk in the park. But the good news is that the classical liberals will win this one.

The left was able to turn our schools into re-education camps because we weren't paying close enough attention. Now, it appears to be too late.

If Hillary had been elected it WOULD be 'too late'... but President Trump can overcome the Education Establishment with small changes allowing teachers with degrees outside of 'education' to teach.

We might have a new use for the Peace Corps along with some new recruits as well!

In 1984 we fought a "character education" program which included intersperced sections of anti-American education. They also taught about drugs in a way that made kids want to try them. Plus, it had whole sections of sex ed which enhanced a kid's desire to partake in it.

They played lots of tricks to fool the teachers and parents into loving the program. In order to implement the program they had to NOT teach other stuff, because it took time to set the atmosphere in the room to entice the kids to swallow it all.

We fought it and it got removed from the entire school district. But, at the time it was absolutely impossible to let everyone know about it because it was so unbelievable that anyone would try to hurt our children's minds in such a way.

This thing has dripped through every public school system to some degree. Now we are seeing it coming home to roost.

Are they on scholarship? If so, pull it. I’m pretty sure there’s a conduct clause.

Obama diverted billions of dollars to convert our school system into a racial and gender grievance indoctrination machine starting in pre school and continuing to the university systems.

He succeeded beyond his wildest dreams.

Our children are being taught to hate western civilization in general and America, it's culture and it's history, in particular.

I keep thinking, if this is 1968, maybe the 70s are coming again! Sure, interest rates are high, and the economy isn’t so good, but we may be in line for some decent music and a little relaxation and good clean fun.

Wheel goes round, pendulum swings. The socialist revolution will wane... It hurts their numbers when their side HATES reproduction, loves faggotry, worships abortion, and wants to cut their penises off.

Exits are clearly marked. Make sure you deposit those oppressive American dollars in the contraband bucket before you go.

A simple case of blind ingratitude, puffed up via “education”.

We have our flaws but there is no greater place on earth that offers a better chance for success. If you want it you can get it. Our kids don’t know any better because of the indoctrination from everything around them (education, tv, movie, music etc.) and the parents are not around as much due to today’s environment. I don’t know how we turn this around. I wish we could send them all to a 3rd world country for a week. That would open their eyes.

It’s so clear what this country needs. A long violent civil war. If your not willing to spill blood for the constitution, then you don’t deserve it.

The left has infected EVERY aspect of society. No matter their numbers, they are winning the hearts and minds of the young. If we don’t put a stop to this very very soon it definitely will be too late. Are we just going to complain until we finally pass that point of no return? And then complain some more?

A little history lesson is in order for these "yutes" as Joe Pesci said in My Cousin Vinny. Starting in 1822 a movement started to help free black slaves migrate back to Africa. They colonized Liberia. In fact, it's capital is Monrovia named after President Monroe who was a prominent supporter and the President at the time of the beginning of the movement.

The history of Liberia is a long bloody one in which a lot of lives were lost. They are relatively stable now but their standard of living is nowhere close to what we have in the U.S. today. Their offical language is English. If you think it's so terrible here, perhaps you should consider moving to Liberia. You'll just lose your crutch of blaming everything on whitey.....

A tweet from - TX Education Agency‏ @teainfo A Mental Health Task Force has been created for Texas schools and universities affected by Hurricane Harvey. http://ow.ly/4yVE30fNTyO #txed 8:42 AM - 11 Oct 2017 More tax dollars down the drain. Someone commented it's not wise to put the Texas Education Agency in charge of students' mental health. The comment is correct.
