No, Nate came through here yesterday and is long gone. We just got a bit of rain and a little wind from that.
There’s a cold front moving this way that will give us wet and maybe stormy weather tomorrow. Hoping for a little lightning, at least. It’s been a while.
It is nice. I might even have to wear sox tomorroow! LOL!
Of course,in 3 days it’ll probably be back up to 85, which is what it was before the temps started falling. It’s now 50.
I liked George’s dry humor too. He was a funny guy.
Ol’ Dean was tight that night. LOL! But then he usually was back in those days. I loved the look on Johnny’s face when he took a sip of Dean’s drink.
Shouldn’t have gone to YT. Now I’m going through other videos from back in the day. Watched some Tim Conway and now have a roast up with Foster Brooks doing his shtick. He was a riot. I remember the first time he was on Carson’s show, it was a set-up. Johnny thought he was going to interview someone in a serious profession and was about to lose it when this “drunk” dude showed up. He was freaking out BIG time. They finally let Johnny in on the joke at the end, and he had Foster back several times after that.
Yuck! Sox! Not in any hurry to wear those and am glad it won’t get cool enough for them this week. We’ll just drop back into the 70s for a couple of days, then back into low 80s through the weekend.
The weathergal this morning said she’s watching some system that could come through next week and drop our temps quite a bit. We’ll see what happens.
I didn’t dare go down that path, but I should have. Instead I watxhed live coverage of the horrible fires in northern CA, and it breaks my heart for the people who have to find that they have lost everything. It’s like the hurrianes all over again, but hotter.
So much crazy stuff going on! It’s kind of scary.
I love to wear sox! LOL! In the winter, I never see my feet. I wear those ankle high sports sox most of the time.
Guess I’d better get some rest. Quiz night tomorrow night, and I have to be on my game!
Oh, hubby went to see his mom this afternoon. This was what he reported:
“Mom is not seeing as many things as Saturday. They gave her something Sunday to ‘settle her down’ and she slept all day. She is talking and knows who I am. Said she had some eggs this morning.
Please keep her in your prayers.“
That was such a relief. They are watching her much closer too. I’ll probably go up tomorrow. Truthfully I was afraid to go up today because I was afraid she’d be worse. I was very relieved.

I go down that path periodically because it feels so good to laugh. There were so many good comedians back then unlike nowadays. Most today fill their jokes with profanity and there really isn’t much humor.
I feel terrible for the people in the middle of all the fires out there. I heard they busted someone (I think it was three people) for starting one of them - - I think the Tubbs fire. Maybe it was Anaheim. I hope the jerks never see the outside of a prison again.
I was finally able to burn trash earlier tonight. It’s been so dry the past several weeks, I didn’t dare burn. It’s wet out there tonight and no wind so now was the time.
