The children of Indian immigrants are some of the smartest, most talented and entrepreneurial people in America
They are an asset to this country and they should be allowed (encouraged) to stay.

Meanwhile, in NJ, the mostly Indian & Asian school board just ended the football program. Why? The school can’t field a competitive team because all the kids are to skinny and small. The tennis team is very competitive.

is beginning to speak out. I'm glad to hear that. Much easier to find and deport that way.

True. I have family in Pa. and ALL 7-11’S in his area are Punjabi clerks. The locals call them Apu’ like the Simpsons character.

“Skilled” Indian workers.... good one.

H4 visa holders were not allowed to work until Obama signed an Executive Order decreeing it so.
To: posterchild
temporary is temporary. whoever has overstayed visa or were brought here as children by parents who overstayed all got to go.
Had they been wise they would have applied for citizenship before visa expired or very soon after.
They wanted all they could take from USofA without having to truly become a part of USofA shows they have no love for the country, only the perks.

Tough to get people to manage a convenience store. 90 hour weeks, clear perhaps $50K/yr, and risk getting shot in the face every night.

The problem is that people from India do not meet any of the qualifications to immigrate to the US. They are educated, speak English, work for a living, pay taxes, get married, avoid crime. They need to start protesting and bombing, and they will get put to the top of the list.

"H1B taking American jobs" How many of you FReepers have been contacted by Indian recruiters that you can barely understand over the phone? Frankly, I'm getting tired of it myself. I want to say to them, "Look, either learn to speak English better or don't call me, because it's a major pain in the ass trying to do business with people if I can't understand them when they speak. I never liked the idea of leaving my next career move to foreigners who can barely speak intelligible English...And yet some people will bend over backwards trying to accommodate them just because they're foreigners. Go figure!

That might help the unemployment rate, albeit at the cost of some executive's bonus checks. 😱

If they’re so talented, how come India is such a mess that they couldn’t wait to come here?

They are legal immigrants.
They aren't immigrants at all. They came here on temporary visas.

Yes, if they are here illegally they must go no matter their race or country of origin. They can come on back when they are ready to do so legally. Simple.

The article doesn’t infer they are not here legally. This article is specifically about people who are temporarily here legally who don’t want to leave when their time is up.

No they’re not.
They are legal skilled MIGRANT workers with no intention of becoming citizens.
When the work is over, they and their kin need to leave CONUS.
