Howdy, PRO.

How’s your weekend been? Get the mowing all taken care of. Spend some time playin’ with the lil wild man? :-)

Howdy, Kathy.

Did you mark off a lot on your “to do” list this weekend AND leave yourself some “chill time”. :-)

Hiya radu!

I did get the lawn mowed yesterday, it is starting it's dormant stage so not as long this time.

And of course visited with the dogs, the little guy just starves for attention and doesn't appreciate that I great and pet the other dogs first, LOL.

Not much else happening here, you geting any foul weather because of the passing hurricane? Kittehs thriving?

Howdy, radu!

it was a good day....not much going on around here.

My MIL isn’t better...she’s worse. For the last couple of days she’s been confused and out of it. This morning the nurse said she was so agitated that they gave her an Ambien and all the times we were up there she was asleep in the same position. She still hasn’t eaten, but has drunk some liquids. We didn’t go up this evening, but will again tomorrow...probably late morning. :(

It won’t be much longer before you can put that lawn mower away. :-) Is it starting to get nippy up there yet?

The lil feller is a jealous one, is he? A few of our kittehs are that way, too, and can’t stand it if another gets attention.
They just have to get over it, don’t they? LOL

We got two inches of rain and a little wind here last night and today from Nate. We needed the rain and were happy to get it, and were glad the winds had died down before the system reached us. Just windy enough to blow some leaves out of the trees.

Now the system has moved out and we’re relieved to have quiet kittehs tonight. They were wound up tight last night and I was tempted to throw ALL of them out the door. LOL

Dang, sorry to hear your MIL isn’t faring well. :-( I’d hoped she’d started her usual bounce-back. She’s been a real trooper through all her previous trials.
Keeping her and y’all in my prayers.

Oh yeah, very nippy at night and early morning, I've had to crank the 'ol heat up then. Still shorts weather in the afternoon for awhile yet.

We need it but no rain in the long range forecast for us.

Glad no big weather happened your way.

Thank you, radu. She is a trooper, but is just running out of steam. Hubby said he didn’t think she knew him...or didn’t know he was there, one or the other. She seems to be seeing things that aren’t really there. Sound familiar?

I think the lack of oxygen and nutrition is a double whammy. I don’t know why they don’t have her on an IV, and I forgot to ask the nurse who was handy this afternoon. My very bad! :( Actually, it shouldn’t NEED to be asked!

And before you know it, the heat will be on 24/7. This time of year is so nice, not sweltering in heat, but it means winter isn’t all that far off. brrrrr!

We all got lucky with Nate. Though there’s some damage along the coast and southern parts of MS and AL, it could have been so much worse if the storm had been moving slower and gathered more steam over the Gulf.

We all run out of steam at some point and it does sound like that may be the case here. She’s gone through a lot the past year or so. The lack of oxygen and nutrition sure isn’t helping matters.

Not on an IV???? If I typed the words that are going through my head, I’d get banned.

Me, too. It’s as though they are just letting her die.

She has a DNR, but I don’t think it starts with starving or dehydrating the patient.

Or, she knows exactly what she’s doing. With her and her sharp mind, up till yesterday, that is, it has crossed my mind more than once.

Can’t say I’ve ever heard of a DNR that started with that.
but who knows what she’s told them and what paperwork she signed while her mind was still clear? That’s about the only thing that makes sense.

None of it makes much sense. We’ll see how she is in the morning and I hope they haven’t drugged her again. She would HATE missing our visits! I do know that!

Did y’all get a good rain from ol’ Nate? It’s funny how quickly it quietened after all the storm surge drama. LOL!
