Tillerson has been very clear in his disdain of the president’s opinions,, especially those concerning race relations.

Don’t you recall the (August 28, 2017) interview he gave with Mike Wallace?
Mike asked Tillerson about his expressed opinion being different than Trumps re: Charlottesville: “Are you trying to distance yourself from The President?” Tillerson responds “
The President speaks for himself.”

That doesn't sound like "disdain" to me at all. That sounds like they're both adults, and as adults they can have differences in opinions on different things.

The comment "the president speaks for himself" sounds like a compliment to me... it's far better than "the president only says what his handlers decide he should say".

Re: Gannon the alternative?

I presume you mean Stephen Bannon...

The first time I heard the guy's name was when Trump appointed him “Chief Strategist.”

Bannon’s Conservative pedigree was encouraging (Executive Chairman of Breitbart).

However, on a personal level, I never saw anything that indicated he had exceptional leadership or administrative skills.

>>Kelly is a MA liberal who has been allied with Mattis and McMaster from the start, in a demeaning condescension of Trump. He has worked overtime to shut Trump off from those who actually believe in the Trump agenda, including any such media.
***********************************************************
That demeaning condescension must be what I was picking up on from my initial reaction to his appointment.

Why do we always have to settle for Liberals. Are there no qualified Liberty Lovers who could do just as good of a job?

Kelly appears to me to be a dangerous POW (Piece of Work). May his time at the WH be short, along with McMaster & Mattis.

There are two conservatives in Trump’s family that Kelly can’t restrict access to: Don Jr and maybe Eric. I hope they use their personal time with their dad well.

Remains to be seen how Trump handles DACA, the Wall, actually draining the Swamp, but many of his choices with personnel leave one scratching their head. There are some questions about what agenda Kelly is for and him trying to censor more conservative voices. Who knows, but Bannon could become an alternative in 2020.

The only people asking those questions are liars in the media and idiots (or worse) who believe the lies.

Reports on Kelly are all over the media. You don’t need to rely on (or slam) one source.

ROTFLOL.

Yeah, all over the Lying Fake Media.

A lie repeated in Axios, Politico, WaPo, NYT, etcetcetc doesn’t make it more true than if reported in one of them.

You’ve lurked for years (supposedly) and you have such naive trust in the media. Grow up/wake up. Jeez.

The President speaks for himself.

Your interpretation of Tillerson's intent is utter horse shit.

Whenever you are asked about something the boss said, anywhere, unless you have approved talking points on the issue, that is the response that you give. It's automatic. Only an idiot responds with something else and gives the press the opening to parse some sort of disagreement in the words that were stated - something that went on here even with this vanilla - "no comment."

That doesn’t mean Tillerson was trying to “distance himself from the President”! Jeez louise, talk about clutching at straws. Disdain?

I swear, a lot of people see the glass 1/10th empty.

I think it would take an act of God for Trump to fire any general. He thinks they’re all like Patton. In reality all the generals he has advising him are Deep State Obama era generals. He promoted them all. In other words liberals.
