Actually, I think it is worse than that. Google/Alphabet/Youtube shows the ads but refuses to pay the content owner for the viewing of the those ads. Then at some point, the ads are removed but not immediately.
Youtube has too much power. Pure monopoly power, anti-trust issue.
Pulling the same shit Johnny D Rockefeller did to competitors. Crushing them.
