After Las Vegas, Democrats Send In The Clowns

Imagine there has been a horrible case of child abuse in your neighborhood. A large family with 10 children had parents who brutally beat their kids, and two died. In reacting to that horrendous news, there’s a knock at your door. It’s your mayor and police chief.

“I understand you have two children in this house. Is that correct?” the mayor asks.

“Yes, that’s true. Why?” you reply.

“We’re going to need to see them, to inspect them to make sure they haven’t been subjected to abuse by you,” the chief says.

“Wait, what? You’re not going to inspect my children,” you respond.

“We are going to. And we’re going to monitor your kids from here on out, stopping by periodically to check on them, inspect their bodies for bruises and have them talk to a phychologist to make sure they aren’t being emotionally abused either,” the chief shoots back.

“What the hell gives you the right to do that?” you ask.

“After the horrible abuse that took place a few blocks away, we decided that we had to insert ourselves into the lives of all parents to prevent that from happening ever again,” the mayor says. “So we’ve passed a new law that says we can curtail parental rights for the greater good. Now go get your children.”

No one would accept their parental rights being stripped because a monster abused his, yet this is exactly what liberals seek to do every time there is a high-profile shooting. They want to curtail the rights of law abiding citizens because one evil individual committed a heinous act.

Hell no.

After the Las Vegas massacre, liberals hit their anti-Second Amendment autopilot button and went right into “We-have-to-do-something” mode. Late-night comedians hopped out of their clown car and, one after one, gave the media exactly what it wanted – angry and/or tearful calls for more laws to limit the liberty of individual Americans who did nothing but exist in a way they don’t like.

Kimmel, Colbert, Noah, Meyers and Corden all played their roles perfectly – lecturing their audiences on how something must be done. But what? What could have prevented this massacre?

Nothing. Not one thing.

Colbert summed up exactly the left’s collective sentiments when he said, “Congress can be heroes by doing literally anything.”

But how can you protect against a lone monster from doing something horrible without limiting the rights of everyone? You can’t.

We don’t live in a world like the movie Minority Report where people are punished for crimes they haven’t committed yet. We shouldn’t move any further down the road of punishing people for crimes they’ve never committed.

Yet that’s where the Democrats head every time there is a tragedy. Your rights must be limited because someone else did something unimaginable.

But even if they had their way, it wouldn’t stop what they’re trying to stop. Or at least what they claim they’re trying to stop.

Don’t take my word for it. Here’s what a liberal wrote after studying the issue and hoping to publish a report to influence the debate and advance the gun control agenda. “By the time we published our project, I didn’t believe in many of the interventions I’d heard politicians tout. I was still anti-gun, at least from the point of view of most gun owners, and I don’t want a gun in my home, as I think the risk outweighs the benefits. But I can’t endorse policies whose only selling point is that gun owners hate them.”

That didn’t run in an obscure blog; that ran in the Washington Post.

Even liberals who didn’t lose faith after studying the issue are saying that what Democrats are pushing – and how they’re pushing it – won’t do what they claim they want.

“If we focus on mass shootings as a means of understanding how to reduce the number of people killed by guns in this country, we’re likely to implement laws that don’t do what we want them to do — and miss opportunities to make changes that really work,” wrote the Five Thirty Eight blog.

Gun control is not as much about guns as it is about control. Even anti-gun leftists are coming to this conclusion.

So the next time some leftists want to chip away at your rights, know that they are convicting you of a crime you’ll never commit. Know that these people aren’t concerned with safety; they simply don’t like how you exist.

In Venezuela they confiscated guns under the guise of safety. Then, a few years later, their dictator, Nicolás Maduro, handed them out to 400,000 of his supporters.  I’m not saying we’re going in the direction of Venezuela. I’m saying we have to fight to make sure this country is never even allowed to look in that direction.

The person responsible for the slaughter in Las Vegas was found dead in that hotel room. It wasn’t the guns that did it; someone that evil would’ve found a way to create carnage. It wasn’t any of the millions of law-abiding gun owners across the country, and it was not the National Rifle Association. No one else should be punished for the actions of the shooter.

Liberals are assaulting the First Amendment’s protections for speech they don’t like. They’re assaulting religious liberty, and they’re aerial bombing the Second Amendment. To preserve these freedoms is going to require a never-ending fight. And that fight starts by telling these clowns trying to chip away further at any of our rights to get back in their car and go to hell.

As an aside, never let CPS into your house.

Don’t even crack the door enough to let them see inside. They will use whatever they see against you.

Good analogy, except this part:

No one would accept their parental rights being stripped...

Liberals would agree to this.

“As an aside, never let CPS into your house.”

Years ago there were a lot of threads on FR about the horrors of CPS. My kids were told to only let in a few neighbors that we knew very well into the house. Even (especially?) police were not allowed in by them - only by mom or dad.

I remember hearing the stories on FR, looking around our house strewn with toys, a big dog chasing around, the one daughter that never wore a shirt (okay, at six I think she started wearing one!), etc. I’m glad my mom was related - otherwise I think SHE would have called CPS on us.

Yes, CPS abuse was anecdotal for me until I began pumping out babies (OK, the wife actually did that part), and I realized that I had a lot to lose, suddenly.

CPS destroys lives and families. It’s just what they do.

Pat Sajak Takes Out Kimmel And Other Leftist Celebrities With One Hilarious Tweet

http://www.dailywire.com/news/21921/pat-sajak-takes-out-kimmel-and-other-leftist-hank-berrien?

Pat Sajak, the host of Wheel of Fortune and a very funny man, issued a tweet in the wake of the plethora of uninformed opinions offered by self-important celebrities (Need we mention Jimmy Kimmel?) in response to the Las Vegas massacre:

Pat Sajak ✔ @patsajak "OK, let me explain this again: We're celebs. We're wiser & more empathetic than you. We are famous. Please take our opinions more seriously." 8:55 AM - Oct 4, 2017

This is not the first time Sajak, a political conservative, has lanced the celebrity bubble of leftism that pervades Hollywood; his resume should have been a warning to leftists that his wit would target them. Sajak is an external director for the conservative publishing house Eagle Publishing, serves on the Board of Trustees at Hillsdale College and has served on the Board of Directors for the Claremont Institute.

Here are some other examples of Sajak pointedly targeting the Left: "Looking forward to next awards show/lecture."

"Nobody abhors violence more than Hollywood, and nobody does more to glorify it."

"I wonder if the celebrities who moved out of the country will return for the demonstrations?"

"Unhappy about results of last week's People's Choice Awards. Thinking of breaking Starbucks windows & trashing limos."

Sadly, I ain’t just the dementocrats. There are plenty of traitorous POS CONgress critter that are supposedly conservative. One we should give a lot of credit to up to this point is Steve Scalise. Faux newses marth macallous tried her best to get him to say ANYTHING negative about the 2nd amendment on Monday. Nope. He refused to bite. Hopefully he hangs in there.

Prevention is as easy as banning outdoor concerts, close movie theaters, ban gatherings of more than say 6 people. That way we make it so potential victims are protected. Similar to air bags in cars and helmets for motorcycle riders.

Punishing 80 million plus gun owners because of the actions of one is exactly what the Dems do everyday.

The daily actions of millions of people who refuse to curtail their criminal behavior or to take care of themselves are taken care of by taxpayers who have no say in the process.

Such process is called WELFARE & is labeled as ‘having compassion’.

I no longer have any compassion for the lay-abouts who continue to breed more of the same, all the while expecting the politicians to continue punishing me with higher taxes to support their life choices. My compassion jar is totally empty & there are multiple holes in it.

I have owned my own house since 1966 & at times have owned more than one house due to a small inheritance. I had no kids. I certainly would like a refund of the ‘school taxes’ I have paid for the last 52 years. The house I inherited had a very high tax—over $2000 a year—and just the school taxes I paid on that house would amount to over $25,000. I am almost 78 years old, and because of the overlap of ownership of the houses, I have paid property taxes for more years than I am alive. No kidding.

See the result of all my ‘contributions’ makes me realize the current system of politics & social engineering isn’t working.

The purpose of the 2nd Amendment is to prevent this type of totalitarian government headed by a Nicolas Maduro or a Mrs. Bill Clinton.

59-60 dead so far from a shooter in Vegas?

Hell; the abortion INDUSTRY in that city kills that many future America citizens in only two days!

Over 10,000 dead per year.

Innocent...

Victims...

No place to hide from the vacuum or knives...

Is America reaping the whirlwind; after sowing the wind?

What could have prevented this massacre? Nothing. Not one thing.

His girlfriend claims he was acting nutso, screaming in the night. Mass shooters are either terrorists or insane, sounds like he was insane. People usually notice. People that are acting very cukooo should be treated against their will if necessary and committed if necessary. And maybe the hotel could have had a mental detector, which sucks but...

I may be wrong, but I don't think that's legal anymore.

I taught English at a community college in Denver. I had one student who was absolutely distraught about her schizophrenic brother, who refused to take his meds; there was pretty much nothing she could do about it.

Perhaps the laws have changed in the past 20 years...but this woman was in tears and I had no idea how to help her or her brother.

I would probably never be allowed into a hotel that had a mental detector.

I had great insurance, a rock-solid character and a wife that cared a great deal about my children.

My ex-wife asked my son to murder me in my sleep.

CPS came to ME and took MY oldest away after he’d broken down because she violated the court order and approached him outside of her visitation time and left a note on his bed at her mother’s house while he was sleeping, and he freaked out and ended up in the hospital.

The CPS agent actually committed blatant perjury when testifying a few weeks later during a hearing. I have it on tape. She didn’t care what was right or wrong, just keeping him from me. Because she believed that if the woman was bad, the man must be worse. She then proceeded to tell him, when he was to be released from their 90 day hell of illegal custody, that when they lied to the judge in the judge’s chambers and had him returned to foster care, that he would be in for an additional 10 days or the rest of his childhood. Day 10 was a Sunday. He was let out on day 11, and proceeded to abuse his brother, attack his half-brother, attack me, killed one of the family cats and tried to attack my wife, and ended up breaking a bone in my back.

He went BACK to CPS custody for 3 years. They let him out to go BACK to his abusive mother (who had had 27 relapses after she lost the kids) and literally when he got out, had 3 more suicide attempts and then was arrested for stabbing her (while she was drop-dead drunk and choking him) and was placed in a group home.

CPS is an abusive organization beyond compare. I had to send a letter to the governor, Lt. governor, each member of my county’s state congress and every NC congressman and senator as well as the head of HHS to let them know what had happened and why I would be pursuing legal action against them for their abuse. Strangely enough, they dropped the investigation into me and my wife. Apparently, they thought our other two children were doing great, so it had to have been my oldest.

It destroyed our marriage and our home. I would never trust CPS again, ever. And I recommend you not either.
