Everyone please counter these dumb stats with the fact that these leftists treat every gun homicide as if the homicide would not have occurred without the gun. A significant number of those homicides would still have been committed if no gun was available!
This is one of my biggest media reporting pet peeves. They report gun homicides rates compared to other countries, but never just homicide rate. Sean Payton is dumber than a box of rocks, and I bet he has never had this pointed out to him.
Knives, blunt objects, ropes, poison, etc. There are a lot of ways to kill people and it would still happen if all the guns magically disappeared.
More children have been severely beaten by one particular running back on Sean Payton’s football team whose name is Adrian Peterson than by all the legal gun owners in America.

Suicide is a growing cause of mortality in the country. Suicide is now the #10 cause of death overall, and the #2 cause of death among young people (after accidents).
If drug overdoses were to be included as suicides, the level and trend would be much worse.
Guns are, by far, the most lethal method of committing suicide. Women don’t normally use guns, and often make multiple unsuccessful attempts to commit suicide. Methods of choice include pills and slitting wrist. Men use guns and, so, have a high success rate.
We’re talking suicide, people. Not guns. Take suicide out of the equation, and I would guess than guns save more lives (from criminals) than take lives (by criminals and accidents).
