The headline in The Washington Post dates back to March 21, 2014. It reads:
Personal FBI flights for Holder and other Justice officials went unreported
The story begins:
The agency that tracks federal travel did not report hundreds of personal and other nonmission trips aboard government planes for senior Justice Department officials including Attorney General Eric Holder and former FBI Director Robert Mueller, according to a watchdog report.
Congresss nonpartisan Government Accountability Office determined that the 395 flights cost taxpayers $7.8 million. But the General Services Administration, which oversees trips aboard federal jets, did not require documentation because of a GSA reporting exemption that covers intelligence agencies, even in cases of unclassified personal travel.
And when one follows the link from the Post to the General Accounting Office report one finds a report that says, among other things, this:
For example, in February 2013 GAO found that the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI)which is a member of the intelligence communitydid not report to GSA, based on the intelligence agency exemption, information for 395 unclassified nonmission flights taken by the Attorney General, FBI Director, and other Department of Justice (DOJ) executives from fiscal years 2009 through 2011.

Mueller: STILL a Weasel.
Whoda thunk it?
When all this is over, we’re going to find that the whole Mueller investigation was nothing more than a mechanism for billing millions of dollars in legal fees to U.S. taxpayers.
Pfffft. This matters only when a Republican does it.
Were they overcharged or the flight international?
$20K per flight is pretty danged rich...
Book em Danno.
Trump fired Comey. Now he has fired Price. It is what Presidents do.
Come to think of it, wasn’t Queen Loretta Lynch and husband on a private plane when she met Bubba in Phoenix?
Round trip first class on Dela Atlanta to Sacramento is about $1,500. I know from direct personal experience.
“were going to find that the whole Mueller investigation was nothing more than a mechanism for billing millions of dollars in legal fees to U.S. taxpayers.”
*****
Actually, it’s worse. It’s Democrat opposition research for the 2020 presidential campaign funded by the taxpayers. The Trump smear is just a bonus in the interim.
Nice :-)
I’ve flown private and 1st class.
The average cost per flight seems to be $20,000, which would be the average of a flight from any coast to around middle America....One way....
Yes, a private plane. The pilot, Dimitri Noonan, found dead just a few short months later. Whether or not this is true - dead or alive, he did or does exist. Conflicting reports on this
Wow! The pilot of Lynch private plane meeting Bubba in Phoenix was later dead (offed?). Didn’t know that!
So, do we add him to the Clinton body count, or to the Obozo count??
Thanks Twotone.
Not certain if he is to be added or not. Still not certain if he actually is deceased. Some searching indicates dead duck, and other paths show him still flying. FAKE news is a challenge to distinguish from facts at times.
The Mueller investigation is White Liberal Elites working with Republican elites to undo an election... it’s a fools errand. The pushback could be ugly.
