Egyptian business executives ordered $23 million worth of rockets from North Korea for the Egyptian army in a complex and illicit arrangement that was thwarted by U.S. intelligence services, The Washington Post reported on Monday.
The failed deal prompted a United Nations investigation and a series of U.S. complaints over Egypt's sanction-defying attempts to purchase North Korean weaponry, just one link in the chain of a global arms trade that the report describes as a "vital financial lifeline" for the country's leader, Kim Jong Un.

Norks will be happy to sell.
I bet it wont be long before nukes are on the Black Market.
I hope Egypt was going to pay them in North Korean counterfeit $20s
Cheap, unguided RPG-style junk, would be my guess.
Still guessing, but destined for Gaza and the West Bank?
The Pakies won't be happy - they cornered that market years ago, right?
Maybe they were used to dealing with the “O” adm and thought they’d try to slide this one by, too
The Saudis got their nukes from Pakistan because they financed the 'Moslem Bomb' through the BCCI Bank.
The BCCI paved the way by donating millions to Jimmie Carter's charities.
Time to end our giveaways of American taxpayer dollars to Egypt. I don’t understand why we give huge amounts of cash to Egypt to match Israel. Egypt is not a solid ally like Israel. American cash helping to buy North Korean weapons for Egypt?
So that’s why Trump’s been so hard on Egypt lately.
Egypt really could use some depth charges, no reason. Thanks BenLurkin.
Yes they were RPG’s. Egyptian businessmen bought the intending to sell them to the Egyptian military.
30,000 of them? Hmmmm.
We found out and ratted the shipment out to the Egyptian foreign minister so they had to inspect and “uncover” them.
Here’s the really funny part, the RPG’s were redated to May, 2017 manufacturing but in reality, most of them were 20+ years old and would have had a very high misfire rate.
The Norks ripped them off.
